I am...That’s no longer an easy statement. Who am I? Since Sterling Sparrow, a man so handsome he takes my breath away and so infuriating he pushes me in ways I’ve never known, came barreling into my life like a category five hurricane, I can’t even finish that simple statement. In 26 years I’ve lived three lives - been three different people. Renee. Kennedy. And now, Araneae. They say that I was named after the spider to make me resilient. Sparrow would then be a bird. Birds eat spiders. I prefer to consider myself a cat.

The man does the most awful female voices.

It’s a good series if the narration was actually good. I’m forgoing book 3 because of the awful narration. I can live without knowing what happens after the cliffhanger this book needed on so long as I don’t have to hear this narration hack job any longer. But, I hung tuff and finished listening to the end of book 2. I deserve a metal.

I am certain the narrators are good for some books, just don’t match this series AT ALL. Awful selection to narrate these books.

Within the underbelly of one of America’s largest cities lives a world where a man’s word is either his most valuable tool or his most respected weapon. When my father ruled that world and that city, he promised me someone who would one day make my reign complete. Since that day long ago, Araneae McCrie has been mine. She just didn’t know. My father is now gone. The city and the underbelly are now mine. The time has come for me to collect who was promised to me, to shred her life of secrets and make her who she’s always been - mine.

...the narrator needed to be different. An Arden or similar would have matched the character much better. And the female was okay in some instances and so bad I almost stopped listening in others.

The story itself, great. As long as you can endure the narration, you’ll be entertained.

Cliffhanger ending if you dislike those, you’ll have a problem with this book. I didn’t mind that as I came in knowing to expect that. Additionally, the next book is part of the romance package and thus, free to romance package subscribers.

When your life is a hot mess at 20, it's cute. At 27...well, not so much. It's just that my lofty dreams - making it as a real estate agent, paying rent on time, showering daily - have stayed just that: dreams. Oh, and love? I've decided love might be a little ambitious for me at the moment. Instead, I've settled for the two guys who will never leave me: Ben & Jerry. That is, until Dr. Adam Foxe takes up residence as the town's new vet.

Pampered heiress Georgianna Watkins has a party-girl image to maintain, but all the shopping and clubbing is starting to feel a little bit hollow - and a whole lot lonely. Though Georgie would never admit it, the highlights of her week are the mornings when she comes home at the same time as her uptight, workaholic neighbor is leaving to hit the gym and put in a long day at the office. Teasing him is the most fun Georgie's had in years - and the fuel for all her naughtiest daydreams.

Everyone in Nashville knows Nathan Dumont. Four years ago, his fiancée disappeared. Last night, he proposed to me. I'd wanted to escape my life, the seedy strip club, and the mountain of bills. I had seized the opportunity to live in a mansion, fill my days with country clubs and caviar, my nights with romance and sex. Maybe I should have done my homework first.

The Beast had Belle. Killian Black has me. How I got here doesn’t matter, even though he says it does. Says it was my choice. He doesn’t get it, though. It wasn’t ever a choice for me. And now, he’s changing the rules. The agreement was one month. For 30 days, I’d be his. He’s no longer satisfied with my body alone, though. He wants my soul, too. Wants every part of me. And even though I can pretend I’m safe when I lie beneath him, this man does something to me. Something wicked. A thing that will break me.

But this wasn’t it.

It was so feared by DJT, that I guess I thought it would be all about DJT. It wasn’t. It was about being a good leader. Looking inside yourself. Demanding more of yourself than of others, and realizing sometimes you are dealt a losing hand. Just a really good read if you have an open mind.

Grace Kinsella is social. But she likes the anonymity of being a blue bird on Twitter, where she can shoot arrows of pithy filth at her favorite movie star. Virtual love is right up her alley. Vaughn Asher is dominant. But only in private. A former child actor turned mega-movie action hero, Vaughn knows how to navigate a world filled with paparazzi, avoid the tabloids, and have his fun, too.

...likely cus I am mosey and want to know how it ended.

This one I can’t. The male narrator may be good in some book but not this book. There is nothing in his voice that matches the character. His voice completely distracts from the story. Awful. Simply awful. I tried to look past the narrator but it just got to be too much when added with they story just being flat out wacky. Just all over the place and not consistent. Disappointed cus it could have been a great story, the social media bit is a good storyline. Maybe someone else will pick it up and run with it.

Gonna ask for a refund, not sure how that works but it sure wasn’t worth a red cent.

They call me a slut. Maybe I am. Sometimes I do things I despise. Sometimes men take without asking. But I have a musical gift, only a year left of high school, and a plan. With one obstacle. Emeric Marceaux doesn’t just take. He seizes my will power and bangs it like a dark note. When he commands me to play, I want to give him everything. I kneel for his punishments, tremble for his touch, and risk it all for our stolen moments.

Very good. Perfect.

The narrators were great. Really good performance.
