Sub-Captain Eve Traynor knows a suicide mission when she sees one. With deadly insectoid aliens threatening to invade Earth, the planet's only chance of survival is to get the attention of the fierce Eon Warriors. But the Eon want nothing to do with Earth, and Eve wants nothing to do with abducting War Commander Davion Thann-Eon off his warship. But when Earth's Space Corps threaten her sisters, Eve will do anything to keep them safe, even if it means she might not make it back.

I have always enjoyed Anna Hackett’s books and this audiobook, the first in a new series, was really fast paced and entertaining. The heroine is serving time in a prison for something she didn’t do and taking the fall for an Admirals incompetent son. When offered a mission which would get her out of prison, the tough soldier decides its worth taking, because it means saving Earth from their enemy the Kantos. All she has to do is kidnap the Eon War Commander and convince him to help Earth fight the bug aliens. THe kidnapping goes okay, but they are hit by Kantos enemy fire on the way back to Earth and crash on a bizarre planet the Eons use to train warriors. It’s deadly in itself, but when the Kantos pursue them onto the planet things get really dangerous. At the same time, something hot is happening between them. Narration was well done. Looking forward to the next audiobook!

Kip Carmichael is no pretty boy. He's rough. Dirty. Giant. Hair so unruly, and a beard so thick, his friends on the team call him Sasquatch. The first time Sasquatch lays eyes on Theodora "Teddy" Johnson across the keg at a party one night on Jock Row, she'd been relegated to the sidelines by her jock-hungry "friends". Week after week, he watches beautiful but bashful Teddy getting overshadowed and overlooked. Sasquatch finally broad-shoulders his way through the crowd, offering to to be her hairy godmother. But the minute their eyes meet? He's a goner.

I really enjoy Sara Ned’s stories and this audiobook was so entertaining! The heroine is a rather shy, meek poor student, while the hero is an athletic guy with a full beard and head of hair that people call “Sasquatch”. She goes to a party with her roommate at the Rugby House on Jock Row and meets the hero. He amuses himself by teasing her and then when her roommate ditches her he takes her home with him. He offers to be her “Hairy Godfather” and teach her how to get s boyfriend, but soon it’s clear that he doesn’t want anyone else to have her. Narration was excellent!

Lady Evina Maclean has heard much about Rory Buchanan’s skill as a healer. What she hasn’t heard is how good the brawny Highlander looks bathing in a waterfall. But Evina can’t afford the distraction, for her ailing father urgently needs care. Only when she’s rendered Buchanan unconscious and dragged him back to her family’s castle does the truth emerge - it’s not Rory she’s kidnapped but his brother, Conran.

I have always enjoyed Lynsay Sands stories and this audiobook was very entertaining! I liked the main characters and how characters from previous stories appeared. The heroine kidnaps a man to help her dying father. Unfortunately, the man she grabbed is not the one she was after! Nevertheless, he helps her father and while recovering the stranger begins to fall for her. When someone tries to kill her, it’s a race to find out who it is. Narration was well done!

I’ve lost track of how many Kindred stories I’ve heard, but really enjoyed this one. The hero is a Touch Kindred who is out scouting the Hive homeworld when he’s surrounded by ships and forced to land on an unknown planet. The men of the planet are cruel misogynists who take him prisoner and torture him. The heroine is the very intelligent daughter of the king of this planet. Because she’s female she has little choice in her destiny, which upsets her greatly. She snoops a lot and finds the prisoner, striking up conversations with him. After he’s whipped severely, she takes care of his wounds. When her father decides to marry her off to an old cruel tyrant, she helps the hero escape. Except everything doesn’t go as planned. Narration was well done!

I was having a cold coffee with my best friend Vivian when the whole world went upside-down. Now there are gazelle-glowing-like-a-light-bulb aliens running around eating everybody, and enormous dark purply-colored aliens that have a strong resemblance to bats, dive bombing from the sky. One of the bats says I'm his and I need to ease his mating rage. Yeah, not happening.

I enjoyed this audiobook very much, but didn’t realize it was ended on a cliffhanger. The story was great sci-fi romance. The heroine is caught up in an invasion of Earth by hideous creatures who attack and eat humans. She’s rescued by another type of alien who have qualities like bats, and are scary. When the leader of the group decides she’s his mate she is shocked but agrees in order to try to save her planet. What she didn’t expect is to fall for him! But when something happens back on his homeworld, will the stress of having to leave Earth destroy their new relationship? Narration was well done.

I broke her heart 10 years ago and left town. She hates me, and rightly so. It doesn’t matter that the rest of the country loves me, that I’m a starting quarterback with a multimillion-dollar contract. Because when I look in the mirror, all I see is a failure who was too young - and too afraid - to fight for what I wanted. But I’m not that guy anymore, and all I need is one shot to convince her.

Charlotte Taylor has three automatic strikes in my book: 1) She hates me. She also claims that I'm a "domineering jerk with a huge, overbearing ego". (I do have something huge. It's not my ego, though.) 2) She takes our mandatory tutoring sessions way too seriously. 3) She's sexy as hell...and a virgin. At least those were her strikes before our study sessions started lasting longer than they were supposed to. Until one innocent kiss became a hundred dirty ones, and until she became the first woman I ever fell hard for.

I've hated Rachel Dawson since I was seven years old. My next-door neighbor and number-one sworn enemy - she's the reason why almost all of our childhood fights ended with me setting something of hers on fire. (Or, vice versa.) She snitched on me when I broke curfew. I snitched on her when she lied about having a boyfriend. We went back and forth like this throughout high school, both vowing to never talk to each other again when we went off to college. But that was until she showed up at my apartment during my senior year and asked me for a temporary place to stay.

I enjoyed this audiobook very much! The two main characters meet when they are seven when she moves next door. He sneers at girls in his neighborhood, and isn’t too pleased when another girl moves in NEXT DOOR! She’s nothing like the other girls though, but it begins a hate/friendship that continues throughout the years. After what she feels is the ultimate betrayal, after high school she leaves to do a semester at sea program that lasts 3 yrs. Despite their professed hate of each other they write letters back and forth. When she decides to finish her senior year back home, she’s dismayed to find that when she’s looking for housing her choices lead her to being HIS roommate. He’s stunned, because she’s become beautiful during their years apart. As they try to get back into their “frenemies” roles mutual attraction is growing. In a college trip, everything changes. But can enemies ever truly be friends? Great narration!

When I first read the description of this audiobook, I wasn’t sure if I’d like the story. It begins with a diary and two people who were born decades apart. The hero is a scientist who has seen the future and the woman in it. He visits her by temporal astral projection when they are both children and even though she’s years away they know each other. He decides to write his story, to be given to her in the future. Then he ends his life expecting his friend to cryofreeze him. The story is told in his friend’s voice and I have to say it was an interesting and emotional story. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but I really enjoyed this unique book. Narration was well done!
