Mark is a professional hockey player, hurt in a previous relationship by cheating, but good for him he didn’t become a manw—...just careful.
Stevie meets him in a bar with a friend, trying to figure out what to do about her dying marriage. They meet, click, don’t consummate and meet again a year later.
The story is sweet and ‘sigh’ nice not having a man who jumps on every woman who throws herself at him..Stevie is great as she doesn’t cheat despite a lousy marriage and they begin a relationship when she is divorced.
Parts of the story dragged..and the absolute overreacting by Mark towards the end was too much for an adult..otherwise great story.
The narrators were fantastic..great voices, emotion, pace, tone..perfect..will listen to them anytime!

Great narrator .. story of a man, Crash, of uncertain ancestry and considered lowly parentage, who has fought bigotry. He has fallen in love with a girl Daisy, also struggling but loving him as well. Misspoken words and misunderstandings pull them apart...but their love doesn’t die..despite denials...
Sweet, romantic and a great story of not letting obstacles stop you..keep on going!

A wonderful dramatization that draws me to learn more about Marie Curie...things I didn’t know, she was Polish, she studied in Paris in her mid twenties because the Sorbonne was one of the few universities that had just begun to admit women for advanced studies.
A daughter of a teacher whose mother dies when she was young, studying in Poland had to be done in secret for women. Her sister wanted to be a doctor so Marie worked for 5 years to help her pay for school (and then her practice was limited with her husband because she was a woman) then it was Marie’s turn.
Determined to not to be h,ed back by men(although her father was supportive) she only studied...then she was introduced to Pierre Curie, also interested in the same field of study.
The struggles women have gone through, houses men have never had to make, sacrifices is poignant in this piece...yet there are supporting men, there are opportunities...an excellent piece that opens me to more explorations of Marie Curie and others who pioneered women’s independence and ability to create and produce wonderful work for the world.

Truly a funny compilation of what type of people and situations are experienced on a cruise ship. I could nod my head and think of the different people I’ve seen or known who fall into some of the categories or have experienced the situations. Each chapter is short and quickly paints a vivid picture in your mind of the person or situation, such as: people who wear white hats, leopard skin, leather, fashion clothes, no clothes, transparent clothes, gym clothes...people with children, scooters, singles, plastic surgery, positive or negative attitudes...officers with land and ship wives...dancing, talent shows, crafting, psychos, rich, dangerous on purpose and accidentally...
Anyway if you’ve lived at all you can find yourself or someone you know or seen who fits into this humorous look at people.
The narrator did an excellent job of giving life and fun to the stories without feeling it was meant in a mean way..just a fun look at human behavior.

Suspense, action, who done it, romance and discovery of love.
The theme I found to be precedent is no one seems to have what they want...Rose, her brother in law, Rose’s husband...most don’t get what they want...but there will be a HEA for our H and h.
The narrator did a nice job with varying voices and in pace and tone of the story.

When Clare Stevens walked onto the McCallister ranch, she expected her life to be a certain way. She was the mail-order bride of the owner, and she was to fulfill her duties. Clean the house, cook for his men, and warm his bed at night. What she didn't expect was the beefy cowboy who walked in and literally swept her off her feet. Cash McCallister didn't have time to date and find a wife. So a mail-order bride seemed the easiest way to find a partner. He thought he'd made a mistake until he laid eyes on the little piece of sunshine that lit up his life.

The hero is running a ranch/farm..parents died in an accident..all he does is works..he’s lonely and wants a family so he goes the mail order bride route ...regrets before she gets there, but falls instantly, possessively, protectively and completely in love.
I love these stories..fantasy..steam..love..a few roadblocks..but a HEA.
Loved the second story of an audiobook narrator and her employer..It was great..another insta in love.

Charity slides off the road during a blizzard, running from a polygamist sect. She blacks out and awakes in a cabin with a man named Russ who saved her. They were naked in bed, causing her fear until she understands it was to avoid hypothermia...at least at first.
Having learned not to trust Charity questions all that Russ says and does, until she decides to use sex to manipulate him...well this backfires.
The story is from Charities POV..which was a lot like whiplash...one moment she was ignorant as you would expect from someone who spent time in a religious sect..then she would act like a 20 year old, then she would ask questions or talk as if she were an intelligent adult. I couldn’t get a grip on who she was, and actually didn’t care much for her. Russ was controlling and actually his back story is unusual, and I could not get a handle on why in the world he would fall for her.
The narrator had a perfect voice for Russ, but terrible for Charity...added to my distaste for Charity. U sure why a story that was rom a female POV was all done by a male. would love a story from him that is a male POV...
Feel bad that I felt this way about the story, I’ve read/listened to other Natasha Stories’ books and really liked them, just not this time.
