In The Land: Predators, the Mist Village has harnessed its power. With core buildings, professional fighters, and now their own dungeon, the settlement is primed to grow into a kingdom of true power and magic. The path to power has not been without risk, however. The MistVillage has been noticed. Evil nobles from the Kingdom of Law, bloodthirsty goblins from the Serrated Mountains, an undead lord with a penchant for human sacrifice, and fanatical kobolds from the Depths all plot the village's destruction.

I enjoyed the book. my only criticism would be that the plot is advanced at such a slow pace it can become a bit hard to keep going at times. there are plenty of times I question if all the charts are put in as filler to extend the length for the sake of extending length. I'm committed to the story now but would simply like to see the plot move along at a more steady pace. I'm not sure I need such a detailed breakdown of every single item and minor character we come across.

Things are not well within the Lodrak Empire. An entire city goes up in smoke and ash, and an entire province is slowly being consumed by an ever-expanding cloud of death. But while the humans rally to contain the fallout of this disaster, they are much quicker to pin the blame for it on their elven neighbors to the north. With centuries' worth of strife and bad blood between the two nations flaring up, all out war is rapidly becoming an inevitability.

For Riley and his friends, Sigil Online has never been more real. With the latest expansion, pain has been enabled and will now affect all players in-game. Aptly named "Hellions", the expansion introduces monsters, but not the kind that paragons have been fighting for the past several years. This time, players can be the monsters they once sought to destroy. But in a game where playing means having the money to survive in the real world, what will Riley do when death in the game doesn't just mean an end to his character, but an end to his life?

When Gunnar Long is transported into the first fully-immersive virtual MMORPG, he finds himself in a new world filled with magic, mystery, and adventure. No more 9-to-5 job. No more studio apartment. No more reality TV. Finally, he's in a place where he can call home, a place with people he can call friends. But as more people want to trade their real world lives to get inside Eden's Gate, the government of the outside world wants the "game" shut down at all costs.

I loved the story in this book, however; the narrator was a bit flat. The performance was subpar compared to other LitRPGs I've enjoyed. This book would have benefited greatly by someone like Jeff Hays narrating. The lack of emotion and inflection really hurt immersion and I found myself zoning out, unable to focus because of this. I did enjoy the book just thought it was missing the emotion that makes an audio book captivating.
