A blooming romance during the Nazi occupation, is not an easy story to read, especially when your family members were directly affected. But I really enjoyed this. It is well written, and smooth flowing, while following the general romance formula there is enough plot to keep it from being sappy or impossible.
The narrator Bill Nevitt does a great job keeping this moving. His character voices have a wonderful continuity through the entire book. He is in one my favorites
I was given a free audiobook copy and am voluntarily leaving and honest review.

This is the second book I have “read” in this series! It’s simply fun. The characters are next door neighbor type people making it easy to get into the story! It’s an easy listen and easy to track with enough plot twist to keep one engaged! I love that this book is “clean” enough for teen readers too! The narrator has become one of my favorites with a clear crisp voice and easy to distinguish character changes!

If you had told me this story line, I would have said it will never work! I would have been wrong. The author has wound the story lines together to create a seamless fabric that one follows along almost with out realizing! Multiple lives, stories and events play out in a few short weeks, leaving the reader breathless and on the edge of thier seat!
Ms. Burchard does a great job narrating, the voice of each character is easily recognizable thus making the tradition between storylines easy to navigate! Well done!

I rather enjoyed the story of a modernday practitioner. The antics of her pets and tidbits about her herb garden offset the terror of her current situation.
Though the tale is a bit slow moving, the narrator keeps you from feeling bogged down. Over all a good book and I will look into more of the series.

This is about young mans journey as he grows up in a cult. The jumbled feelings of fear, isolation and distrust mingle with the realization that though he feels completely alone, there are other children in the home.
This is the type of story that really makes you uncomfortable, and yet you are simply unable to put it down.
It’s very much worth finishing. The narrator is easy to understand and reads at a great pace. He makes the store feel real.

A story of two very different people falling in love in the midst of murder and mayhem! With Mother Nature wreaking havoc and dirty cops committing murder, this story gets off to a fast start! I was able to listen to this while commuting and it was easy to keep up with use start and stop style listening. I’m excited to try to Chrys Fey.
The narrator did a phenomenal job keeping up with the many voice changes required. Took me a bit to be able to hear the differences ( new to audio books) but once I did, I was able to immerse myself fully into the story.

The narration was crisp and clear and easy to follow.
