Audie Award, History/Biography, 2016. On the night of July 20, 1969, our world changed forever when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walked on the moon. Based on in-depth interviews with 23 of the 24 moon voyagers, as well as those who struggled to get the program moving, A Man on the Moon conveys every aspect of the Apollo missions with breathtaking immediacy and stunning detail.

Super inspiring book. Fun to learn the details of the different Apollo missions. This book really got me excited about the idea of space exploration. I learned at the end of the book that one of the men that's been to the moon lived or lives in my town, so now I want to find and meet him. What an amazing accomplishment for mankind! We need more engaging national activities like this today to tie us all together and get us working on a common goal instead of fighting about stupid things that don't matter.

While it' a series of lectures, not an actual story, this is by far one of the best Audible purchases I have ever made. Zig Ziglar inspires and excites about life, personal growth and development. "Life is tough, but when you're tough on yourself, Life will be infinitely easier on you." "You can have everything you want in life if you'll just help enough other people get what they want." We play these recordings for our kids (4 and 3) and they even love the positive, encouraging and uplifting messages. One of the fastest ways that I know of to improve your life is to begin changing what you put into your mind and listening to these encouraging words.

Thirty years in New York City's public schools led John Gatto to the sad conclusion that compulsory schooling does little but teach young people to follow orders like cogs in an industrial machine. With over 100,000 copies in print since its original publication in 2002, this book is collection of essays and speeches and includes a describes the wide-spread impact of the book and Gatto's "guerrilla teaching". Starting from scratch, simply by picking stocks and companies for investment, Warren Buffett amassed one of the epochal fortunes of the twentieth century - an astounding net worth of $10 billion and counting. His awesome investment record has made him a cult figure popularly known for his seeming contradictions: a billionaire who has a modest lifestyle, a phenomenally successful investor who eschews the revolving-door trading of modern Wall Street, a brilliant dealmaker who cultivates a homespun aura.

Maybe I didn't read the bio well enough, but this book was just a bad romance novel, not an awesome cowboy story like I was looking for. I assumed since the author also wrote Lonesome Dove (which I loved) that this book would be great too. But it wasn't.
