I really love the story and I love King the main male lead. He was just the right amount of dominant jerk and compassionate individual. however, I have a serious problem with Mia. I cannot stand stupid female lead characters, and she is clueless. I like submissive characters, but she was not that, at least not yet. I couldn't get past it, and stopped listening. I will definitely try this writer again, the writing was well done, the pacing and storytelling was good. The performance of the voice acting was excellent! The cadence and timing were perfect, with just the right amount of emotion. Thanks for the read.

it starts out good but it was a real struggle to finish it. I had to forward through some of the more whiny Parts. I can't believe that the main character was so stupid and whiny oh, I expect her to have some struggles with adjusting to her new life but all she ever did was constantly go back to that falsehood that she was going to return back to her old pathetic lame life that she hated. She did want to protect your sister which I get and I approve of but why not use the power that you have when you have a strong mail behind you. She was an idiot and I can't stand listening to idiots do stupid shit all the time Fred I'm sorry I just got really frustrated with how many dumb just isn't she made. They go and attack the fort to get her sister back and she just goes without any armor or anyting. They have the whole city the dragon can go anywhere and does she think to go and get armor to protect yourself so she doesn't get shot no of course not because she's too stupid. It's just a badly-written character. However the World building was great and I loved it. I wish she just been a little bit smarter, had a little bit less self-doubt. The amount of self doubt she had was just not believable for someone who was supposed to be the strong protector of her whole family.

I didn't really care for the way the female read her part oh, but I have listened to the beginning of the next book and I think she has changed her pacing so I will try it. the male reader was just fine, and I would definitely listen to him read again.

I love this book, The pacing was spot-on and there was no unnecessary overly dramatic scenes. There was plenty of drama but it was spaced well in between the action and the sex didn't encompass the book. the sex was hot, don't get me wrong but I don't like a book this all sex and this one definitely delivered on action character development and world-building also. Will definitely look forward to reading the rest of the series. I am going to go and listen to the author's previous series also.

I really like the story a lot, it made me laugh and it also dealt with serious issues. The sex was great but not overwhelming. There is however a lot of violence so if you don't like blood and gore this may not be for you. I however, I have no problem with blood and gore and I just thought this was awesome. The reading was great the personalization of the different characters was great, you could almost tell who was talking without being told. This is not a one-off book however, it is a serious and you are going to want to read the rest of it.

New Orleans is a hot mess.

Ancient feuds. Demonic forces bent on destruction. Oh, and apparently vampires are real.

Della didn't sign up for any of this. She didn't sign up for violence and mayhem in the streets of the Big Easy. She didn't sign up to be a magnet for an evil force intent on hunting down the reincarnated souls of its enemies. She sure as hell didn't sign up for rescue by a sinfully tempting vampire lord and his fashion-model-gorgeous friends. Especially since he seems convinced that she's the living embodiment of his long lost human mate.

Also, the way her part was read went from calm to and stay there without any variation. if I was reading the book I probably would just skip her parts and go to the end

One moment...that's all it takes for life as you once knew it to change irrevocably. For Michael Kingston, that moment was when he first laid eyes on Gabriel. In his life, Michael had only known darkness, leaving behind a broken shell of a man. Unspeakable memories of his childhood constantly plagued him, causing him to disconnect emotionally from the world. No one had ever shown him love; therefore, he believed that he was unworthy of it. And then everything changed.

I really appreciated the natural flow of the relationship, even though the main characters fell for each other quickly the development of the emotional bond was believable the story was emotionally enriching.

Priddy's a lost soul in a part of Cornwall the tourists don't get to see. He's young, sweet-natured, and gorgeous, but that's not enough to achieve escape velocity from his deadbeat village and rotten family life. He's a drifter and a dreamer, and self-preservation isn't his strong suit. An accidental overdose of a nightclub drug leaves him fractured, hallucinating, with too many vital circuits fried to function in a tough world. When a friend offers him winter work in a lighthouse, he gratefully accepts.

this is an excellent ending to a long and detailed series. The Story draws you in and there are so many details you almost want to read it twice, I may read it twice. I love the secondary characters I loved the primary characters I loved all of it, even though sometimes the detail was confusing oh, there are no unfinished plot lines that I could discern. I also like the lead into what may be the next series, I hope that the next series is as good as this one was. This was an epic love story, it was more than one love story, and it wasn't an easy love story. they're happily ever after was hard-earned, and the trust the couples have together is deserved.

really liked this book, like all the twists and turns. I can't wait for the next book, I am downloading it right now. I know a lot of people disagree with the age of the main age of the main female character in the original book, and I understand that, but there are some things in life that are real and we don't write in books because we don't want to accept that they happen. There's a lot about this book that you have to suspend belief about, but it's a very gritty and it acknowledges the dark side of the human spirit and soul, sometimes we need that.
