Radical generosity is the against-the-grain secret weapon of real influencers, and it will allow you to boost referrals, retention rates, and ROI like few other strategies. But be warned, gifts with strings attached backfire. There is a right, and wrong, way to give. John Ruhlin has gifted on behalf of everyone from Forbes Magazine to the Fortune 500, and his tactics lead to appreciative responses and wide-open check books. This book helped me to think harder about gifting and the positive byproducts associated with giving a quality gift, but it felt like mostly a promotion for his company.

I would have liked to have seen different and more gift examples... in the whole book he only mentions about 10 gifts that he and his partners have used. Also, the continual mention of bonus info if I go to his site and download the resources felt manipulative.... i bought the damn book so give me the info without jumping through hoops.

I like the idea, but overall it was lacking actionable steps and resources to make the process of "giftology" easy to implement.

I do not recommend this book.
