Heart of Mine is my absolute favorite book in the Colorado Hearts Series.
My heart was bursting with so much emotion. I love Emma and Beranger.
They need a spin-off series of their very own.

This book is now my favorite book in the series. I was tickled to read the name Lane Peters and am really hoping that Gigi has a proper crossover of Lane and maybe even Jaya from her Jaya Jones series. The new characters that were introduced in this book have me on the edge of my seat. I can hardly wait to see what is in store for these characters in the future books.

I disliked Dora Granger in the previous book and that dislike just grew in this book. Dora, who grew up dirt poor and married rich, liked to look down on others. Instead of having sympathy and compassion for those less fortunate, she was just needlessly cruel. She meddled in her daughter's and Blake's relationship and caused them so much pain yet she never did apologize to Blake personally. She was forgiven far too easily for my liking.

I found it mind boggling that Ginny and Blake didn't realize that Dora interfered with their relationship after the Grangers moved. She moved her daughter to the city to put distance between them! That should have been their first clue. Their lack of sense made me disconnect from them and not really care if they ended up together.

What kept me continuing with the story were the secondary characters Erin and Luke. Erin was just adorable and Luke's handling of his spoiled sister really impressed me. I loved that he put his foot down and insisted she earn her keep.

Paige and Cooper had me giggling throughout most of their story. These two made me think of the saying, "There is a lid for every pot." They just complimented each other so well and were each exactly what the other one needed.

I was glad that their family members stayed in contact but minded their own business while these two worked through their issues ans only got involved when asked. It was so refreshing.

The advertising campaign that Paige put together had me grinning. Too bad it was just fiction.

The cameos from characters from the first three books in the series was lovely.

Luke Andreen is one of my favorite narrators. He did a remarkable job bringing these characters to life.

Although this was Lavina's and Rhett's story, it was Dallas who stole my heart.
I hope that this new resident appears in all of the books left in the series because I love him so much!

Even if you haven't already read the Yellowstone Romance or Teton Romance series, you'll be able to enjoy this novella because it does work as a stand alone title. I would highly recommend reading those series though because they are incredible!!!

Who knew that wanting to provide your spouse with the perfect Christmas present would lead to a series of winter adventures? Not Chase and Lucas! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you Peggy! Merry Christmas!!!
