At nine years of age, Logan Weber knows the routine. Keep quiet, make the food last, and don’t ever cause trouble. He’ll do what it takes to evade the rages of his troubled, violent father. Even though he’s only a child, Logan already knows too much - has seen too much. So when the opportunity presents itself, Logan runs. He has no idea where his journey will lead, or that the grandmother he’s been told is dead is desperately searching for him. Alone with no home of his own, Logan looks for a safe place to hide.

Sharon Washington’s autobiographical one-woman play, Feeding the Dragon, delighted audiences off-Broadway and is now available exclusively on Audible. The one-act play invites listeners into Sharon’s unorthodox childhood, growing up in an apartment on the top floor of the St. Agnes Branch of the New York Public Library, where her father served as the building’s custodian. A love of literature and boundless imagination helped the playwright as a young woman persevere over dragons of all forms.

I love this book the characters in the story are totally people we know, easy to identify with. Her description of going to Grandma's house and discovering the story about her father young life resonate with experiences I've had as an adolescent. The stories of her exploits in the library are just delicious. I'd the recommended to anyone!

As the second part of a trilogy, even though written years before the first and third books and by the father of the writer of the other two, it is a brilliant personalization of arguably the most important battle of the American Civil War! It is told as the events might have been experienced by some of the most important characters in the event! It is intensely enjoyable if tragic! I felt that I was experiencing the battle through the characters! I have already listened to it twice and will probably listen again! I read it and also the first and third books in the trilogy!
