Sky Brooks's life started with a death - her own. Sky spent the first 23 years of her life unaware of this, among other things. She always thought she was just a shapeshifter until she woke up in a strange house in rural Illinois - battered, bruised, and with only vague memories of her mother's death at the hands of vampires. At the request of a powerful witch, Sky is put under the protection of the Midwest Pack. But she isn't sure she can trust them, especially after she meets the dangerously sexy Ethan, a pack member who's known for being more ruthless than altruistic.

Emerson Knight did a great nod keeping with McKenzie Hunters book. He did Ethans point of view extremely well. He also did a great job bring additional elements to story, which only added to it.

Supernaturals are out of the closet but I have to stay hidden because of the type of magic I possess. I’m a Legacy. It sounds like the title should come with reverence, a trust fund, or at the very least a cool backstory—instead it comes with a death sentence. I have to hide in plain sight and pretend to be just human. I’m pretty good at it. I live a simple and somewhat normal life, and I work in antique acquisitions. Everything’s going fine until a dangerous and enchanted dagger that was once in my possession is stolen. I didn’t think things could get any worse until I woke up next to a dead shifter, fae, and mage, without any memory of the past twenty-four hours. Considered guilty of murder by most of the magical community and humans, I must work with Gareth, the sexy and dangerous leader of the Supernatural Guild.

Narrator is great. Book was just good. Not a bad start to a new series, but not great. Felt like the book was shorter than expected. Could have had a little more character development with the secondary characters.

Narrator is annoying!

Narrator is hard to get past, ruined the book for me! When she does the actual character voices she is not as bad, but in between it is absolutely nerve grating. The story seems good, however can only take that voice in small amounts. Will add if I ever actually finish listening to this book.

Did not keep my attention at all. Unfortunately I also don't like the direction the book went romantically. So that does honestly effect my review. However I will read the next book. Not because I care what happens to the main characters anymore. More to see how the authors works all the side effects politically, and logistically.

Bay, Thistle and Clove don't believe their great-aunt is guilty - although Thistle is fine if the police want to haul her away for a long weekend. The new agent is gung-ho, headstrong, and making witchy enemies at every turn. When the investigation turns to the past instead of the present, Aunt Tillie refuses to talk and a long held Hemlock Cove secret risks being exposed. Bodies start piling up as old grudges overlap with new clues and the Winchesters are caught in the crossfire.

The Story it's self is good, as always. She is a great author. As for the story 5 Stars!

This series Needs some progression. She is sleeping with both Morreli, and Ranger, thinking about sleeping with Diesel. What? Zombie theme could have been interesting, but was actually boring. This book pretty much a mix repeat of of her earlier books. I found my self say hay that happened in book __, just with __ instead. Nothing new except Grandma got a new friend.

Narrated was great as usual, if not for her I would have stopped listing. Janet Evanovich owes her big time!

This short is based when the cousins are teens. Twila is left in charge when her sister go out of town. She pretty much proofs why everyone says she is flighty. The best part of the story is actually the cousins relationship with the sheriff and Aunt Tilli.
