Simple, I found it a three star romance. If you have been in "deep" with your last book this series would be a good break.

Narration is the BEST!! Love the accents! The story line is great, I WANT MORE. You do not have to be up to date on the Jane Yellowrock series to enjoy this one. I actually think I like it better than Nell better than Jane.

My only disappointment is because of how it ended I don't think it will be a series. :-(

Loved the story and narration. If you like what I think of as "little english mysteries" you will like this book.

Definitely, worth a credit!

I would love to see/hear from Mrs. Rodd, Frederick, and Blackbeard again.

Got the next book right away and I hope they finish this story line because I identify very strongly with David Chandler and Cork!!

As always William Kent Krueger with David Chandler is wonderful. Together they make the book feel very intense and personal.

Start from book one, I think this series is best in done in order. Definitely worth a credit!!

Faith Hunter is a great author. Love the Jane Yellowrock series but am a little behind.
Thank goodness you don't need to be caught up with the Yellowrock series to start this one just GO FOR IT!!
Great story!! I love Nell and can't wait to see how her character grow.
Khristine Hvam is FABULOUS as ALWAYS!!

Got book 1 & 2 at a two for one sale. Book one was ok and book two I just could not finish.
Made it to chapter 13 and just could not go on.......nothing was happening.
Would not recommend this series.
