This critical analysis covers the key aspects of its beliefs, practices, and structure from the bottom to the top, including not just the confidential Xenu story but details of all of the upper-level scriptures. Chris goes into detail about what goes on inside Scientology churches, why its members get involved in the first place, and what it takes to get out should someone decide to leave.

Hounded by the tabloid media, driven from his self-made sanctuary at Neverland, Michael Jackson spent his final years moving from city to city, living with his three children in virtual seclusion - a futile attempt to escape a world that wouldn’t leave him alone. During that time, two men served as the singer’s personal security team: Bill Whitfield, a former cop and veteran of the security profession, and Javon Beard, a brash, untested rookie, both single fathers themselves. Stationed at his side nearly 24/7, their job was to see and hear everything that transpired.

Waiter to the Rich and Shameless is not just a peek into the secretive inner workings of a legendary five-star restaurant; it is not just a celebrity tell-all or a scathing corporate analysis. It is a top-tier waiter's personal coming-of-age story, an intimate look into the complicated challenges of serving in the country's most elite, Hollywood-centric dining room while fighting to maintain a sense of self and purpose.

Any additional comments?

Paul Hartman has written an absolute gem of a book. I listen to audio books while falling asleep, usually it works like a charm. Not in this case, though, because I kept laughing out loud. Sure, its chock full of "steamy" stories with celebrities. In fact, there is a ton of it. Shocking, funny, obnoxious, tender, pathetic, inspiring, nostalgic, classy .... the book encompasses all the traits of the celebrities included in this book. It felt like I was having a conversation over a glass of expensive wine with the author. Kudos also goes to the narrator of the audio book because he was spot on with impressions and conveying the story in an intimate and unique manner. I found myself thinking of the stories during the day and couldn't help but chuckle. It’s THAT funny. The characters (co-workers, etc.) became family for the duration of the book, their descriptions and quarks became not only familiar, but endearing. I was honestly very sad when I knew the book was reaching its conclusion. That said, in reading reviews, I think we all agree it’s a fabulous and lush story of rich celebrities who expect the world to cater to them. Spoiled, over-indulged, regular people who have been transcended into American Royalty. There lies the symbolism and irony of the story being told by someone who really did play that role. We get to laugh along with Paul on this fantastic journey. In conclusion, I took more from this book than mere Hollywood gossip. I found the author to be full of inspiration and insight. He writes of his own life and its ups and downs; all of which are relatable by most of us. It takes courage to look inside and leave safety nets behind, all in the pursuit of serving .... yourself.

I'm going to be kind here and not say anything. Except, this was really bad. I have an open mind, but the author used Jackson's songs as references. Glaring problem was he didn't write some of them.
