A beautifully written book that captures the lives of the few who identified stupidity and utter fraud while at the same time looking at a service industry that refused to acknowledge it's shortcomings. The sad reality of humanity however is our short memories. There will be another crisis like this to follow - if not now then shortly afterwards!

Delightful given that most biblical tales when exanined at from the perspective of God make the whole Bible venture ridiculous. Good listen for non believers in need of a laugh and for believers with a sense of humour.

Sad but true observation of Africa then

The more things change the more they remain the same. Africa now is not the Africa David Lamb wrote about yet some of the ailments that bedevilled it still exist - corruption, rulers with lesions of grandeur and unfulfilled potential. Bright spots have arisen in more democracy, greater access to international trade, a growing middle class, a free South Africa and a more engaged African Union. I would love a sequel looking at how Africa has performed since the last time he wrote this book!

I loved the story telling in this book. The narration is to notch and a makes you think you are Paul himself listening to the people he met. I loved the way the stories weaved into each other and the description make you think you know the place and people. It's a pity a section of the community is still stuck with the past. The poverty and deprivation narratives were hard to listen through. I am recommending this book to all. Lovely listen!

Insightful and educational. I have been exposed to unique aspects of human behaviour which I took for granted but which now draw my curiosity and a need to observe and study behavioural science more.
