In this short and powerful book, network marketing experts Ray and Jessica Higdon teach you proven strategies for marketing and prospecting that allow you to navigate your way through the social media maze and achieve freakishly effective results for your business. Social media has been called the “gold rush” of the 21st century - a new, unchartered world where people in virtually every industry have found fame and fortune. This includes network marketing. The trouble is, as with the gold rush of the mid-1800s, the wild west atmosphere has left a lot of network marketers feeling lost and confused.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Doctors who like to talk about medical war stories

What could Atul Gawande have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

This book has so much filler and very little substance.

Would you be willing to try another one of John Bedford Lloyd’s performances?

Sure

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Checklist Manifesto?

Almost 90 % of the content is filler; you need more substance in this book.

Any additional comments?

This book was a bad experience. I didn't get much from it.

Here is Trump in action—how he runs his organization and how he runs his life—as he meets the people he needs to meet, chats with family and friends, clashes with enemies, and challenges conventional thinking. But even a maverick plays by rules, and Trump has formulated time-tested guidelines for success. He isolates the common elements in his greatest accomplishments; he shatters myths; he names names, spells out the zeros, and fully reveals the deal-maker's art. And throughout, Trump talks—really talks—about how he does it.

Trump talks very little about tactics here. Some but mostly brags about all his big deals.

Any additional comments?

Here, Trump mentions that he built a hotel for the Russian Government. No wonder he defends Putin. Putin could hurt Trumps financial situation. Why isn't this book used as clear evidence that he is in a big conflict of interest with a major foreign power?

I did pull a couple things out of this book but overall Alan comes off as a very arrogant and difficult person to listen to. I forced myself to listen to the entire book as he alleges so much expertise in this field. That said, I feel like this book was his opportunity to brag about all of his past projects.

I buy many audiobooks and after I listen to them, I often I feel like I could have a beer with the writer because they provided thoughtful insight; not Allen. I wouldn't even invite him to my Christmas party.

He is very in-your-face and quotes himself often in the book after some of his statements; he does not need to do that- it's his book!

Pass this book - find another one for a better listen.

This is a good book. It is a wake up call and a new way of thinking about how you might be planning your future and wealth.

Here is the short of it: if you are an employee don't expect to make much cash because you're paying a lot of taxes; and your income potential is stacked against you.

If you are self-employed you might be better off but you risk burning-out or incurring a failed business.

If you are a business owner or an investor, you have the opportunity for perpetual income and economic growth without your direct involvement.

This book goes into depth with strategies and beginning steps to getting there. Get this book; it is a powerful guide towards your future income potential.

Think and Grow Rich is the number-one inspirational and motivational classic for individuals who are interested in furthering their lives and reaching their goals by learning from important figures in history. The text read in this audiobook is the original 1937 edition written by Napoleon Hill and inspired by Andrew Carnegie - and while it has often been reproduced, no updated version has ever been able to compete with the original.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Use modern examples, modern English not 50's grandpa English, use modern actionable examples.

Would you ever listen to anything by Napoleon Hill again?

NO. The train has left the station.

Any additional comments?

There are so many pep talk books out there; ugh. I think "rich" all the time. I don't need someone to tell me again to have "faith" and an "unwavering vision"; I have one.

I don't need long examples to make a point, a short concise one will do. I need practical and actionable tactics to get stuff done.

Some of the tactics in this book are retarded. The douche bag who needs a trainer at the gym will like this book. The self motivated do not need this book.

The writing style in this book also sucks. Think of the guy you once met who wants to look smart and uses big words when a small one will do; I wanted to kill myself listening to him.

I want to get an Audible membership to return cruddy books like this. I want to barf now.
