Tayshawn Torres is a child born in the slums and cursed by the sins of his parents. His mother is a notorious drug addict and whore who's more concerned with getting her next high than she is with Tayshawn's well-being. His stepfather hates him so much, he literally treats him like an animal, forcing him to sleep in a cage and scavenge for scraps of food wherever he can find them.

I was glad to hear how Animal became Animal. It was a much needed background story & I am forever in live with Animal as I now feel as though I know him inside & out. Cary Hite did a fantastic job, as usual, drawing me into the story.

Delicious drama and sass set Lutishia Lovely’s sizzling novels apart from the crowd. Here she delivers a compelling companion to All Up in My Business. When their parents decide to expand their successful Taste of Soul restaurant to the West Coast, both Bianca Livingston and her brother, Jefferson, begin vying for a management position. And when their meddling cousin Toussaint shows up and the restaurant’s money starts disappearing, tension between the siblings comes to a boiling point.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely. I plan to recommend this book (the entire series) to lots of friends. This is a great story of good vs. evil. I have also enjoyed the back stories that haven't come to the forefront as of yet. I have a feeling part 3 of this series is going to be riveting!

What did you like best about this story?

I like how the rich & powerful characters are actually the good guys in this story. They aren't trying to hurt the less fortunate or successful people, they just want to do what they do & live how they live & not bother anyone. It's the envious ones that are coming for them & since they weren't sent for they are being sent away & with class.

What about Corey Allen’s performance did you like?

At one point in the story it didn't even sound like him. Corey Allen is a great narrator in other stories I've heard, but I don't think he was a good fit for this story. So, the answer is nothing.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutely, but I couldn't, because I have a job. I suppose if I had been listening on the weekend I would've finished it while cleaning the house.

Any additional comments?

This story is a marvelous sequel to All Up in My Business. I am thoroughly pleased & cannot wait to read the next installment of this trilogy. This is worth the money to own & because it has been so good to listen to, I will become the proud owner of the paperback for each installment of this series soon.

Widely hailed for her best-selling fiction, no one combines sizzle and sass like Lutishia Lovely. With their soul-food business firing on all cylinders, brothers Malcolm and Toussaint Livingston seem to have the world at their feet. But playboy Toussaint’s penchant for risk-taking is often more than not-quite-happily married Malcolm can stomach, and a particularly spicy blend of circumstances is about to turn up the heat to record-setting levels.

Would you listen to All Up in My Business again? Why?

Absolutely & I plan to do just that as soon as I finish the third installment of this series. This book was a great listen & even though the narrator wasn't who I would've chosen, I was still pleased with the story-line.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Toussaint, by far. He seems confident, alluring, & down right sexy. I like his spirit, his drive, & his go-getter mentality. He goes for what he wants.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Toussaint showed up at Alexis' house & refused to leave without getting a chance to tell his side.

If you could rename All Up in My Business, what would you call it?

I think this is an appropriate title.

Any additional comments?

This story starts out a little slow, but once it gets going, which isn't long after it stays going & going & going & then it's gone & you're like no, wait, I need more. This is a great read/listen & I am thoroughly pleased I chose to start this series.
