As North Korea's State Poet Laureate, Jang Jin-sung led a charmed life. With food provisions (even as the country suffered through its great famine), a travel pass, access to strictly censored information, and audiences with Kim Jong-il himself, his life in Pyongyang seemed safe and secure. But this privileged existence was about to be shattered. When a strictly forbidden magazine he lent to a friend goes missing, Jang Jin-sung must flee for his life.

When Jordie Bennet and Shaw Kinnard lock eyes across a disreputable backwater bar, something definitely sparks. Shaw gives off a dangerous vibe that makes men wary and inspires women to sit up and take notice. None feel that undercurrent more strongly than savvy businesswoman Jordie, who doesn't belong in a seedy dive on the banks of a bayou. But here she is...and Shaw Kinnard is here to kill her.

A very well researched and performed audio book on what life was like in the US immediately before, during, and immediately after WWII. The audio book brought back a lot of the life changing episodes in my life and I am grateful to the brave people who produced this excellent documentary.

I am also recommending that this audio be required listening in the classrooms to teach students what their family had to endure during WWII in order to craft a better life for them.

Also, it is unsettling to be aware of how much of the propaganda, events, and slogans that were perpetuated to the masses to justify WWII is exactly the same as what is happening right now.
