I enjoyed everything about this book...the performance....the story...Everything! A story of love, abandonment, survival, betrayal and forgiveness. An adult book of Innocence.

If you could sum up Homegoing in three words, what would they be?

...From the Ancestors

Who was your favorite character and why?

N/A....All parts equal the whole

What does Dominic Hoffman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Mr. Hoffman ability to capture the essence of each of the characters is amazing! Regardless of gender, culture, language, accent, personality...his reading took you there and kept you there. I never lost track of who was talking. He is amazing.

Who was the most memorable character of Homegoing and why?

M'ma Abena (Old Lady)...She closed the circle.

Any additional comments?

I just finished reading this book and I am full....I have no words to describe its impact on me. I have traveled Ghana, visited Cape Coast, Kumasi and the Akonnedi Shrine in Larteh...much in this book is spiritually familiar to me...The ancestors helped Yaa tell this story. Medase! Medase! Well Done!

Highly recommended!

This story was written to keep you engaged and guessing go the very ending. It was long, but never boring.

What disappointed you about A Wanted Woman?

Zoe Bell's narration. Her absolutely horrible imitation of a West Indian accent, made it very difficult to get through the book. Her accent was neither Trinidadian, Bajan or Jamaican...instead she killed the listeners with a very bad East Indian accent.

What was most disappointing about Eric Jerome Dickey’s story?

The story and characters, including the main character, had no depth. It was boring.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Zoë Bell and Dominic Hoffman ?

Listening to Dominic Hoffman was a relief from Zoe Bell....I had no problem with him. I would have cast Robin Miles instead of Ms. Bell. Ms Miles presents a more pleasant and believable depiction of an Island woman.

Any additional comments?

Really EJD??? Really???

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

A High School Jr. or Sr.

Has The Hitman's Woman turned you off from other books in this genre?

I will read other books in this genre, but definitely not by this author

How did the narrator detract from the book?

She sounds like a little girl talking dirty.

What character would you cut from The Hitman's Woman?

All of them. There is no character development and most of the characters are not believable. The women characters (including the female FBI agent) are ditzy, have no personalities and have no interests beyond having sex and finding a man who can take care them. The gangsters in the book are laughable (i.e. World Dumbest Criminals). There is very little variety in the sex scenes (regardless of the participants). Like Diane, I'm trying very hard to finish.... Don't know if I will.

Any additional comments?

I should have read the comments instead of just looking @ the stars. Appears the rating was based on one review. If you like to be mentally stimulated and challenged when you read a "Thriller".....do not waste your credits/money on this book
