I loved this book! I have read (and/or listened to) many of Kathryn Le Veque medieval novels, and I have loved every book from the many different series. The Warrior Poet is a truly beautiful love story. The addition of the beautiful quotes from the Chronicles of Christian St. John, and the story of the real Warrior Poet in the beginning of the book anchored the story with a sense of reality and truth. Warrior Poet is a very emotional and moving story. Love like that is truly eternal.

The Scot Beds His Wife was/is another exciting book in the Victorian Rebels series. There were a bit too many swear words in the beginning of the story, however, it added to the creation of the characters. Regardless, I love this series, and this book. I can't wait for the next book in the series. (I hope there will be another book in this series). I'm hoping the "Rooke" will be another MacKenzie issue, and hopefully we'll see him in the next book. :)

I listened to the audio version of this book, via Audibles, and the performance by Derek Perkins was superior. His voice sounds perfect for all the MacKenzie men.

Thanks, Ms. Byrnes for writing another awesome story, keep them coming.

This was the first book of Laura Kinsale's that I have read (listened to via Audibles), and it has now become one of my favorite books of all time! Very rarely have I experienced such a wide range of rare emotions while reading a book. Truly, Flowers from the Storm is one of the best and most beautiful love stories ever written. I know it was written a few years back, but it was new to me, and I was deeply moved by this wonderful story. Besides the unforgettable story, the Audibles performance, which was read by Nicholas Boulton, is awarded winning as well. I look forward to reading more Laura Kinsale books, I am now hook on her stellar writing. Thank you!

If you could sum up The Highwayman in three words, what would they be?

Oh my God!

What did you like best about this story?

EVERYTHING

What does Derek Perkins bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He's perfect for the level of emotions that is the story. Perfect!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

YES, but there were too many to list here.

Any additional comments?

AMAZING! This was one of the best books I have ever read. I have never read a Kerrigan Byrne book before until this one, The Highwayman, which was just totally amazing from start to finish. The range of emotions that you will go through is quite vast, you become completely submerged into the story, as if you're inside the story yourself. Just be aware that you will not be able to do anything at all until you finish the book, such as, eating or drinking, and even breathing is sometimes difficult to do as well. So, pick a day, find a nice, quiet, comfortable stop, but don't forget surround yourself with life sustaining items, such as water and food, because you won't even care about anything at all until you have finished this wonderful book. I am serious! :)
I cannot wait until the next book in this series, but before starting the next book, I must eat something. :)
