I really enjoy Simon Prebble’s narrations MUCH more than any of the female narrators. He doesn’t try and sound female but the females try and sound male and. I just enjoy his reading more. Sorry ladies. I know we are supposed to stick together

Simon Prebble nails the reading of these books. I prefer his reading to the females that have narrated in this series.

It’s the bad reviews that I don’t get..... the book is great! It is.... exactly what it is.... there aren’t too many adjectives..... great detail allows for the reader to picture the authors intent. The characters are bad “a..es” and every book has built up their abilities. No difference there. I for one like that good prevails, if I didn’t I would pick a different author to read .

I agree with someone's review from an earlier book. I can't even imagine reading these books myself now. I believe Davina Porter is THE BEST Narrator I have EVER listened too!

My daughter was taking a literature class and was required to read Macbeth. I had not read since high school ( many moons ago!) The is awesome. If you are needing to "understand" what is going on.... listen to this.

I love this series, and I love to read. However, I enjoy Davina Porter SO MUCH that I can't even imagine reading these books now. She is probably the best Narrator that I have EVER listened to. Man she's good.

disappointed. I was NOT. It isn't a happy story. Not one part of it. I kept expecting it to get worse. I don't think it did. No it isn't a fairytale ending, but I don't know how a story this dark could get any closer. All in all, I enjoyed the entire series. Now, I think I will find a mindless, happy story with a happy ending .... mmm... In which Pooh goes in search of Honey. :)

If you could sum up The Hunger Games in three words, what would they be?

I was reading when I couldn't listen and listening when I couldn't read. Great story, loved it.

What did you like best about this story?

There is nothing that I didn't like.

What does Carolyn McCormick bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I did both. But I love Carolyn McCormick. She's great in everything I have ever listened to her read. Sometimes, I think that after I listen to her read, I read to myself differently. If that makes sense.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes
