I really despise short books with cliffhanger endings. AND THIS IS 4 OF THEM!!!! This wasn’t terrible, it just isn’t worth 3 more credits. It could have been 2 books easily. So I won’t finish this series. Not because this was a terrible book, because it was ok, but because it feels like such a rip off. Shame on you Ms. Trent

Hosted by the Contessa della Trieste, an opulent Carnevale ball in Venice takes a terrifying turn for American book critic Jordan Riley. As festivity turns into frenzy, Jordan is rescued by a powerful man disguised as a wolf. But was the mayhem she witnessed - the blood, the fangs, the screams - truly just entertainment, or something far more sinister?

I enjoyed the first two books of this series but this one really stunk it up for me. The heroine was so stupid I couldn’t get past it. Bad things happen at night. How many times can you go out in the evening and be shocked about how dark it has gotten? Well the answer is about a zillion. Also it was very confusing on the past. I think it got out of order or something. This was just not good.

I listened to all of these books. Without a doubt they are erotic but for me, too out there. I can’t imagine this being a feasible long term relationship but maybe I’m naive.
The male narrator was good but the female had a shaky, breathy style I
Did not prefer.
If you like an alternative 3 males 1 female lifestyle, go for it. I prefer a monogamous 1 male 1 female.

I listened to all four books so I obviously did not hate the series. I liked the story of Tyler and Maddie. That being said I did not like the amount of profanity ( esp book 1) and book four got a little to ‘the five people you meet in heaven’ for me. All in all this is a well written enjoyable series of books written in collaboration of two authors.
The EOBS at the end of the books certainly added to the whole. I enjoyed hearing from the authors what their intents were.
Jonathan McClains‘s tribute to his wife in the last book was definitely swoon worthy

This is a good story with complex characters written by obviously talented writers. I do not understand why the language has to be so foul. I’m no prude and I listen to a lot of books. Many of them have foul language but it works with the story. This has such a ridiculous amount that it totally detracts from the story. It does not enhance it. I will probably finish the series since I started it. Of course it has a cliffhanger ending which I also do not prefer at all. I doubt seriously that I will do more by the authors even though they write quality books — just too foul for my tolerance .

This is a short book with a sequel. My guess is that one book would
have done it. I hate cliffhangers....esp. when they are unwarranted. The
story has been interesting but the narrator is sooooo bad it nearly ruins it. She has little inflection and no emotion even in the more erotic portions of the book. Very robotic and you absolutely can’t tell her male character voice from her female.
Too bad author you felt the need to get more $$$$ and break one book
into two. I wouldn’t do the sequel if I didn’t have the package that I can listen free.
Also this narrator is fine to listen to but she shouldn’t do romance or
any book with a male voice needed

This was a good story but could have been shorter. I also forgot how
KA has the characters drop pronouns etc. and speak in what I call ‘text talk’ I find it irritating. The narrator also swallows loudly too. I couldn’t listen on my headphones. All that being said , the story was interesting it was just much longer than needed. The time between when the guy started killing until the resolution was too drawn out for me

However (and I know many will disagree) Scott Bricks narration is so superior to Guidall! His weird pauses and then rushing does not do it for me. I much prefer Brick.
