Arranged marriage? Check. Cocky new husband? Check. It's a marriage of convenience - one I'm determined to keep strictly professional. I can't be stupid enough to fall for this sexy playboy's charm or advances. I have to be strong, even if he is my husband. Except he has a big cock with an even bigger ego, and his main goal in life seems to be getting me to stroke both. The arrogant bastard is like sweet, sugary candy for my libido. I know he's bad for me. But I want to devour every wicked inch of him.

At least she has an excuse for her dysfunction. He’s just an worthless pretty boy player who doesn’t deserve her.

Don’t get me started on their g—damn fathers. WTF. They’re better off telling them to eff off because of how they wrote their wills, telling the 6K employees they’ve been effed by the wills, and going on their separate ways.

The mere fact that he hasn’t told her and they haven’t told their fathers to eff off and gone their separate ways to really effing effed up.

I hate this story.

Penny Reid is an autobuy for me, and I’ve never been disappointed. This is yet another home run, and I’m wishing Anna was my girlfriend, except that she dwarfs my intellect, and, although I’m pretty well-read, it’s in different genres than hers, obviously (this is a romance, after all). I don’t know where Penny finds these awesome narrators. Fiona Fischer did a fantastic job expressing Anna’s quirky personality. I loved it. I don’t normally award 5 stars, but I can’t seem to stop giving them to Penny Reid.

WANTED: Single human female to join charming, wealthy, single male were-cougar for a night of romantic fun - and maybe more. Me: The tall, sensuous, open-minded leader of my clan. You: A deliciously curvy virgin who's intimately familiar with what goes bump in the night. Must not be afraid of a little tail. Prefer a woman who's open to exploring her animal nature. Interest in nighttime walks through the woods a plus. My turn-ons include protecting you from the worst the supernatural world has to offer.

The only thing I can say positive about this story is that the narration was good, and it wasn’t quite awful enough for a single star.

Why would anyone write a story about a woman who repeatedly makes terrible decisions? Her boss and her romantic interest were both exhibiting classic sex trafficker behaviors. UGH. She KNOWS that the proper course of action in order to protect her sister is to clear out IMMEDIATELY. She doesn’t. She’s SO effing stupid. She barely knows the guy and takes pills from his henchman? What an idiot. Why any “clan leader” would be attracted to such a moron is beyond my comprehension. I hated this story.

The bits where the main character tracked her boss’s habits was amusing. That was about it.

This is my second review of this book. My last was about a year and a half previous. I think it has gotten better for me this time around.

I come from a background of narcissist and borderline personality disorder, so this story REALLY resonates for me. I strongly identified with Gauge and Jack when they were dealing with their sister’s injuries, and with Haven as she learned to trust again. I cried for all of them.

I don’t know if was Mz. Raudman’s amazing narration, or Lisa’s great writing, or a combination of both, but this story is amazing. I hardly ever leave 5-Star reviews.

His characterization was excellent, and all of his accents and genders were distinct. Great pacing, no speeding up or slowing down. I was put out when it stopped at a cliffhanger! I bought it on sale, going to use my next credit for book 2.

I knew what I wanted - I knew who I wanted - until one night, their world tried to bite me back and Donovan saved me. Romances between damaged people always hit me hard. This was no different. And the sex between them was visceral.

All Blake Crawford wants is to pass his creative writing course, get his university degree, and take over his dad's ailing family business. What Amanda Newland wants is to graduate at the top of her class, as well as finish her novel and prove to her family that writing is a respectful career. What Blake and Amanda don't want is to be paired up with each other for their final project, but that's exactly what they both get when they're forced to collaborate on a writing piece.
