initially it was good, then as the author tried to build too much love story that was not necessary and started to bog down and the important points got a little lost in the superfluous, but it ended on a high note. The narrator was fantastic and would buy books for this narrator again Worth the credit

Would you listen to Defy again? Why?

I would not relisten as sections get very slow, but overall, the story was good and perhaps the point of the slow parts were to give lots of backdrop for a series? It did finally wrap up in the end to a decent story, just slow getting going.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

no

What made the experience of listening to Girl Code the most enjoyable?

I normally don't do the short books because they aren't worth using a credit, but this was very much worth it and an inspiring book by someone with a great outlook on life.

What disappointed you about The Rebel Pirate?

The synopsis promised an exciting ready, but it is terribly boring. I listened for an hour and the entire hour was one scene, that entailed the H and h having a conversation of about 20 words. The rest was all about their thoughts. A romance novelist trying to be Joseph Conrad.

Would you ever listen to anything by Donna Thorland again?

No, she needs to not take herself so seriously. Romance novels should pop with action.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

story promised so much but never delivered. it started with such a great plot idea and it could have gone in so many exciting directions. It never went anywhere. at first I thought, maybe the book would be more exciting if the narrator didn't use such a funeral tone throughout, but turns out funeral tone was for the storyline itself. that said, I did listen to the entire book as it was enough to at least keep me interested in what I hoped might happen. worthless and he really can't find anything out, but not something you should buy with great anticipation

A lot of audible romances are meh in either the story and ruined by narration. This one hit the sweet spot. well not riveting, the story was engaging and character development was such that you really wanted to keep listening to find out how the happily ever after came together. this author made character development seem easy and the story flowed beautifully. Can't wait to get the next book in the series

some Lindsey books grab you and you want to read (or listen to) it over and over. This one was a one timer. The narration was good and I wish this narrator would redo the last Lindsey release.

The narrator is just plain awful. She uses horrible petulant voice throughout and goes from one section to another without even a pause to let the listener that there's a section break in the book. Despite the horrid narration, the story itself is quite good

Where does First and Last Sorcerer rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is another great Eby book, that is not overwhelmingly the annoying Winn character. Although, this was weird in that when Magiere was first rescued and in very bad shape, Leesil did not stay by her side. Instead, he would close the door and sit in the front room with the others despite the author writing that he cared for her. I wondered if this was foreshadowing his having grown weary of dealing with her and he was going to leave her. Instead, it was just a poorly written scene. Also, the lack of detail regarding their months of suffering in the castle was odd, but still a good story

Any additional comments?

This book was lacked the cohesiveness of other Eby books, like why would you not sit with the person you love while they are recovering, why would they be convinced one among them had betrayed them, but still accept him in the group, why even mention the elf's ruining their breakout plan with his failure to kill others but then never address it. Other such things, but still a good story.
