Zélie Adebola remembers when the soil of Orïsha hummed with magic. Burners ignited flames, Tiders beckoned waves, and Zélie's Reaper mother summoned forth souls. But everything changed the night magic disappeared. Under the orders of a ruthless king, maji were killed, leaving Zélie without a mother and her people without hope. How can I possibly rate this book? I laughed and cried. My heart broke several times while listening to this story. I have read and listen to many YA books but none compare to this story. Tomi Adeyemi, I get it! I hurt for those that tragedy has touch by police brutality. Children that are just starting to live cut down by a weapon, whether a sword or a gun, it doesn't matter. Thank you for writing this story.

Welcome to Nocturne Falls, the town that celebrates Halloween 365 days a year. The tourists think it's all a show: the vampires, the werewolves, the witches, the occasional gargoyle flying through the sky. But the supernaturals populating the town know better. Living in Nocturne Falls means being yourself. Fangs, fur, and all. Death is what grim reaper Lucien Dupree knows best. Or rather, he did until his reaping powers became tragically unreliable. Now he’s living in a self-imposed exile to keep humanity safe. Sure, it’s a lonely existence, but it’s the best thing for everyone.

I have never cried so much in my life listening to a book. Yes, some heart wrenching scenes but never like this book. It moved me in such a way that I could not stop the waterworks. I love this story. I could not stop listening or crying. The story sucked me in from the beginning. Starts with tragedy and ends with a happily ever after. I have never read or listened to a Kelly Oram book before but this one sealed the deal. I need more stories from Kelly Oram. Kirsten Leigh's performance was outstanding. This was a very wise combination. Kelly and Kirsten, keep the stories coming.

I love the Compass quads pack. This story is full of adventure, in an incredible story. Who’d thought that Grace was such a bad ass. The narrator’s did a great job acting out the parts, the sex scene could have used a little more motivation... just sayin... also the editing team of this recording need to pay more attention to detail with the bloopers. Unless, that was left there on purpose. I had a good laugh though. I love 💕 Jaymin Eve’s stories, can’t wait for the next one.

Willa Knight: Dweller? Bad-ass? Notorious pet to five magical beings? In Blesswood, there are rules, and someone is trying to teach her how to follow them. The only problem is Willa. Which shouldn’t be anything new, since she has been a problem since birth — something her pseudo-sister Emmy would agree on. So it definitely shouldn’t be new, but it is. Because things are starting to happen that have never happened before. Things are starting to get chaotic.
