This has been an emotional rollercoaster of a book for me. It's a wonderful edition to the series but damn this book made me nearly cry. I'm honestly thinking this series may become a tragedy In the genre sense. Bravo and encore Kel Kade. Bravo.

Magic pieces of armor rain from Lenova's skies, granting men God-like powers. Mountains move, lightning bends to command, and a man's future can be written in a book before it's even happened. In this emerging chaos, teenage Finn SunRider cares only for escaping the burning desert of the Crust and exploring the world he lives in. Yet that will prove quite difficult with monsters and tyrants roaming the land, conquering cities and killing the innocent.

Lazarus Cain is a member of the Grim Shadows, one of the Thieves Guilds in the city of Eberia. Unfortunately, Lazarus is having a bad day. Waking up in a torture chamber, suffering from amnesia, he'd be pretty much screwed if not for the mysterious, magical sigil burned into his chest. Sometimes a really bad day should be shared with others, especially professional torturers.

the beginning is confusing as it doesn't start from where the last book left off but you start to figure out how it ties into the first book about a fourth of the way in. The ending made me cringe but I guess a good book can make you do that.
