The story was really good. it didn' rely on Sexual content to push the story forward Like you see in a Lot of lit RPG these days. It's also nice Seeing the story told from a different perspective other than to typical fantasy Races that are favored I.e. Humans, Elves, Dwarfs. This story is told from the perspective of A player that has to take on the character build of a troll. I like the Over all world End the way that the RPG system works. I enjoyed the book very much and over all I am impressed. I was Not expecting to get as good a story as I got.

This book is an action packed alternate fantasy about a guy who is transported from the world we know of science and technology to one built on the laws of magic. If your thinking that the concept sounds cliche your not wrong; boy get transported to alternate fantasy world certainly isn't new but cliche does not equal bad. The author takes the concept and tells an enjoyable story. I don't think there was a wasted scene at all in the book which is great... though I didn't go though it with a fine tooth comb. I am sure you could poke holes if you tried hard enough; heck I was enjoying it so I probably subconsciously dismissed any note worthy incongruities.

Lit Rpg and light fantasy readers will probably like this...

Loved it. Good world building and interesting characters. What I like in a book, especially litRPG, is good grounded world physics. This means do I have a good enough understanding of this world and its laws to superimpose my own thoughts; to grab onto with my imagination and spiral off into a myriad of "what if(s)".

Other litRPG I really like: The Land, Delvers LLC, Emerilia, The System Apocalypse.

Honorable mentions(I really liked these too but your not me so): War Gods Mantle(#harem), Travail Online, Ascend Online, Dante's Inferno Beginnings, and maybe Bushido Online... I'm saying Perilous Waif, Daniel Black(#harem) and Apocalypse Gates as well; they are not litRPG If you wana get technical but are good and similar. (Heck I say they are though...)

And a lot more I haven't mentioned. cough* cough* Apha World(#harem), Tamer(#harem), Super Sale on Super Hero's(really good # pancakes?, #harem), Morningwood- everybody loves large chest (# satire), Otherlife(#harem), Adventures on Terra, Orconomics(# satire), The Valens Legacy(#harem), and Alterworld (plz just stop at book 4 for your sake # downhill)...

ok I'm done... for now...

I really like the premise and as far as "lit RPGs" are concerned, it is worth the buy. I wish audible/Kindle would make a genre for lit RPG or at least a sub genre; it would make finding books like this one much easier. Narrator did a fine job, the writing is passable, and the story is great.

Well honestly, after the 2nd book, I had no idea how this was going turn out. The 2nd book had a major cliff hanger that would make you want to rip your hair out. This book picks up where the 2nd one left off and it turned out pretty good; I'd say it was as good as the first. We see major development in a few of the side characters, plus- new characters, new monster, new powers, new revaluations, and more word building. And...Jeff Hays is an amazing narrator. I've listened to a lot of novels narrated by him; he does a superb job again with this one. This definitely ranks high in my lit rpg collection. Buy it... AUDIBLE 20 REVIEW SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY

So funny and the title is fittingly ironic considering deception is the name of the game for our rather unusual underdog. If you are fan of lit rgg, mmorpg, d&d, or things of the like and can enjoy a good laugh, you will appreciate the dark humor. Don't be turned off by the tittle, unless your turned on by it then by all means be lured in lol but, It's not nearly as bad as the tittle would make one believe. There are a few sexually graphic scenes, most of which if not all are satirical in nature... Welcome to dark humor; you'll laugh your butt off while simultaneously thinking WTF ½..

I've always known I was a monster. My mother abandoned me when I was 10 years old because I have a freakish mutant disease that makes me incapable of feeling pain. I bounced from one foster family to another because too many people like to test my medical condition in a game of "try to make Ollie scream". At 16, I killed a man for taking that game too far. Two years later, I'm still on the run in Kodiak, Alaska.

This book is more than just okay, and the heroin is quite interesting too. she is not your cookie cutter bad girl. As story goes on her character gets fleshed out well, though a few times I did want to reach in the book and smack some sense into her to let go of some of that baggage but I guess it is a driving mechanism for the book that keeps things interesting. It looks like it's shaping up for a very exciting sequel that... I'm about to buy right now😆

Would you listen to Bone Crossed again? Why?

Yes! From start to finish this one was a real page turner.

Have you listened to any of Lorelei King’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, just the mercy novels. She does a good job on this series.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Well, I actually listened to the entire book 4 and 5 in one sitting... Road trip FYI ( made 21 hours go by in a flash)

Any additional comments?

If anything, It's the characters. Patricia Briggs does an amazing job of creating characters that hold your interest and don't fall flat. So far I'm 5 books in yet the appearance of Fae, Vampires, Walkers, Werewolves, Witches, Ghost, Sorcerers and Zombies looming about doesn't make it feel bogged down or locked. In contrast, it still feels open with an air of "what else is out there?"

Selene Rhodes has lived her whole life with a terrible secret: not only can she take the form of any animal at will, but once a month the full moon transforms her into a fierce wolf-creature without a human conscience. Managing her condition means living by a strict routine, and more importantly, abstaining from intimate relationships with human beings.

A good read with alot steamy romance scenes, had a decent plotline which kept things interesting. And... for me it was an acceptable amount of plot vs (sex on a stick). This had a nice mystery/thiller plot pusher which I enjoy and some touching moments as well. I read another novel which was the inverse of that cough* cough* midnight hunt, let's just say it was all about (sex on a stick) vs (sex on a stick).
