Loved the characters and loved the story. And the narrator captured their voice and emotions perfectly.

This was enjoyable. I wasn't crazy about the audio book narrator (who was different from the narrator of the first book) using Clint Eastwood gruff voices when portraying the 'tough' guys of the book and meeker needy voices for the other men.

I listened to the audio book for 'Made For You' and I felt like there were some editing issues with the audio or the narrator didn't effectively convey thoughts and speaking out loud. But I did enjoy how he voiced the characters. I wish he was used in the later audio books, I'll get more unto that with the other reviews. The story itself was enjoyable. Tyson and Eli were made for each other. 3.5 stars.

Cax and Axel came from very different home lives and that affected how their lives played out after they were caught making out at religious retreat when they were teenagers. Cax was forced to break all contact with with Axel and ghost him. When they meet again years later not much had changed with their home life, for Cax it had gotten worse.
I enjoyed this story but it don't grab me like the first book in this series. Cax and Axel were just as sweet and I wanted them to have their happily ever after, they deserved it. I was also very happy to see Caleb and Josh make an appearance. 3.5 stars

This was an unexpected gem. I fell hard for Caleb and Joshua, their love was so pure and innocent even though the world they escaped from wasn't. All of the the supporting characters of this book gave so much to the story, especially Washington. I adored him. And the narrators captured their voices perfectly.

This book broke my heart in a bad way and also in a good way. This was a two in one story about how hard it was to be with the one you love when it wasn't accepted and learning to accept love when you feel you don't deserve.

I'm reviewing books 2-4, Illuminate the Shadows, Return to Zero, and Counterblow, altogether because I listened to the audio books back to back and it's a continuing story. I read the ebook for book 1 a while back and was looking forward to continuing this story when I was presented with the opportunity to listen to the audio books. The approximately 12 hours of revisiting with Declan and Sam was so worth it. I already loved Sam and Declan's love story, but Gary Furlong really brought the characters to life for me. The voices he used for each character was perfect and he captured the emotions of every scene perfectly. Isobel Starling created this terrific world of secrets, espionage and mystery and plopped a beautiful romance down in the middle of it. Declan gives up an takes on a new life in order to build a life with Sam. I can't say much about the story without adding spoilers so I'll just say these are a must read and I can't wait to see where the story heads to next.
