A landmark in travel writing, this is the incredible true story of Heinrich Harrer’s escape across the Himalayas to Tibet, set against the backdrop of the Second World War. Heinrich Harrer, already one of the greatest mountaineers of his time, was climbing in the Himalayas when war broke out in Europe. He was imprisoned by the British in India but succeeded in escaping and fled to Tibet.

Upon her arrival, however, Emily learns that Griswold has been attacked and is now in a coma, and no one knows anything about the epic new game he had been poised to launch.

wow. i mean WOW. I would make this a rave reviews because the story was so excellent, exceptional, grand - what scope! what imagination! what thoroughness!! BUT. the author uses the F word so gratuitously throughout it becomes an assault on the sensibilities. hated it. won't keep it. will never recommend it to anyone. alas. what a loss to the sci fi community. great story. great reader. couldn't get over the hundreds of instances of serious, offensive, pointless cursing.

The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.
