Maddox - The reason I rarely go home is three simple words: I'm a liar. When the pressure to marry my childhood sweetheart became too much, I told her I was gay and then fled to New York like my ass was on fire. Now, five years later and after a drunken encounter, I find myself invited to her wedding. And I have to bring my boyfriend-the boyfriend who doesn't exist because I'm straight. At least, I think I am. Meeting the guy I'm bribing to be my boyfriend for the weekend makes me question everything about myself.

Cocky racing driver Tyler Joseph is sidelined after one risk too many. After being at the center of a fiery crash, he's forced to rest and recover at his best friend's farmhouse or he'll miss the rest of the season. Tyler does what he wants, though, and what he wants right now is the hot, sexy little physical therapist whose hands only touch him where it hurts. Alec Lands is a sucker for a pretty face, and Tyler's too much temptation to bear. He's promised himself he'll stop dating trouble, but Tyler is flirty, dirty, and stubborn as hell.

My double life is crumbling around me. Denying who I am isn’t fair on anyone: the girls I tried so hard to date, the guys I’m too afraid to flirt with, or my family who don’t know the truth. I’m afraid of coming out to my mom - but if I don’t, I’ll remain in fear that she’ll find out from someone else. I’m torn between expectation and truth, and I’m not sure I can keep hiding behind a cocky grin. I’m not ready for the gorgeous guy who challenges me in my own diner.

I believe I have never made it through a motivational or inspirational or self help style book, at least until this. I cried through most of the first chapter and then went back and listened to it again for effect. This has changed so much about how I view my own inspiration as well as how I view the efforts and struggles and successes of the creators around me.
