Young executive Connell Kirkland is the company's driving force, pushing himself and those around him to uncover the massive treasure. But at three miles below the surface, where the rocks are so hot they burn bare skin, something has been waiting for centuries. Waiting...and guarding. Ray Porter is the best narrator on audible. I've listened to several books that he's done and he always elevates the experience. I thought this story was really really interesting. The characters are well drawn, the plot is interesting, and it kept me engaged throughout.

I was amazed by this story. It was so well written that I felt like I was right there next to the main character the whole time. For me it was ultimately about relationships and love and the profound impact people can have upon one another. A bonus take away was a thorough understanding of India, its culture, and the complexity of its people which I found fascinating. The narration was simply the best I've ever heard. His delivery is perfect and he managed to slip into each character so naturally that at times I forgot that it was only a single person. Such a great experience.

Sam Hill always saw the world through different eyes. Born with red pupils, he was called “Devil Boy” or Sam “Hell” by his classmates; “God’s will” is what his mother called his ocular albinism. Her words were of little comfort, but Sam persevered. Sam believed it was God who sent Ernie Cantwell, the only African American kid in his class, to be the friend he so desperately needed. And that it was God’s idea for Mickie Kennedy to storm into Our Lady of Mercy like a tornado, uprooting every rule Sam had been taught about boys and girls. Forty years later, Sam, a small-town eye doctor, is no longer certain anything was by design.

This book makes me wonder how many fake reviews exist on audible. I bought this one because it has so many glowing reviews but after listening (suffering) to about the halfway point, I had to just stop. The story is boring and derivative and the narration is quite flat.

Dodgers is the story of a young man named East who works for an LA drug gang, sent by his uncle along with some other teenage boys - including East's hotheaded younger brother - to kill a witness connected to a major case, who is hiding out in Wisconsin. The journey takes East out of a city he's never left and into an America that is entirely alien to him, and over the course of his journey the book brings in elements from a diverse array of genres, ranging from crime fiction to road narrative to coming-of-age novel.

Imagine: A boy with a gun waits for the man who killed his mother. A troubled detective confronts her past in the aftermath of a brutal shooting. After 13 years in prison, a good cop walks free as deep in the forest, on the altar of an abandoned church, a body cools in pale linen.... This is a town on the brink. This is Redemption Road.

What made the experience of listening to Fanatical Prospecting the most enjoyable?

Lots of usable strategies and some very relevant insights on sales in general and on prospecting.

Any additional comments?

I've read a lot of Sales books over the years and I'd have to put this one at the very top. It's current, it gives strategies that you can use right away, and it is does not contain any fluff. There is a lot of really good information in here and it is delivered very well. If you are in Sales, I would highly recommend it.
