a bit repetitive on this "horrible image will be burn in to his memory for all eternity". And that last epilogue, was it thrown in to get your word count up? I hope this is his last book to this series. I've enjoy Tufo's books over the years but he need to let this series die rather than it become a rotting decomposing zombie that just won't die.

Their men are being held prisoner in a horrific nightmare dimension, and the only way to reach them is through the radioactive ruins of a monster-infested war zone. As if that wasn't bad enough, it's also the home base of the powerful creature behind the devastating attacks on the Last Dragon and Copper Lake.

I was a little frustrated with this series of books in the beginning due to the author bouncing from one storyline to another. But now that some of the different storylines are coming together I'm appreciating the series more.

I hope to see more of the different threads coming together and I'm curious on what does become of the Marines in this new universe without the empire.
