David O. Stewart presents this well-researched account of the U.S. Constitution's creation not as a dry analysis of events, but as a high-powered narrative filled with dramatic intensity and larger-than-life historical figures.

This book dives into the struggles our founding fathers faced when authoring our Constitution. It covers the battles between big states, small states, struggle over slavery, state and federal government roles and limitations.
For those who now criticize our founding fathers because of some of their views....it would be well worth the time in order to get an honest look at their struggles.

Learn the inside scoop on Watergate, the Ford Pardon, and the 18-minute Gap. Roger Stone, The New York Times best-selling author of The Man Who Killed Kennedy: The Case Against LBJ, gives the inside scoop on Nixon’s rise and fall in Watergate in his new book Nixon’s Secrets. Stone charts Nixon’s rise from election to Congress in 1946 to the White House in 1968 after his razor-thin loss to John Kennedy in 1960, his disastrous campaign for Governor of California in 1962, and the greatest comeback in American Presidential history.

This book was very well written and presented a fair view of President Nixon. It didn't quite elaborate enough on the speculation that lead to watergate in my opinion. I would have liked a little more. The worst part of the book is it is very repetitive. It jumps from 1960 to 1968 back to 1956 over and over again.

John Taylor Gatto's Weapons of Mass Instruction focuses on mechanisms of traditional education which cripple imagination, discourage critical thinking, and create a false view of learning as a byproduct of rote-memorization drills. Gatto's earlier book, Dumbing Us Down, introduced the now-famous expression of the title into the common vernacular. Weapons of Mass Instruction adds another chilling metaphor to the brief against conventional schooling.

This book does a great job of presenting an alternative view of our education system. The author causes the listener really think about what they learned or did not learn in school.

If you have ever wondered why education does not improve considering all the money the government throws at it....this book is for you.

Is it possible that there exists an ancient mystery that holds the secret of America's future? That this mystery lies behind everything from 9/11 to the collapse of the global economy? That ancient harbingers of judgment are now manifesting in America? That God is sending America a prophetic message of what is yet to come? Before its end as a nation, there appeared in ancient Israel nine specific warnings and omens of national destruction - these same Nine Harbingers are now manifesting in America with profound ramifications.

Although I don't buy the "official" story of 9/11 this book connects the dots in an amazing fashion. As a Pastor I've always believed that the OT is a reflection of what is going on in America today. This book perfectly follows my line of thought.
Jonathan Cahn does an incredible job of narrating his book and keeping the listener/reader's attention the entire time. This is one of my favorite books! Easily worth 2 credits! I highly recommend it to Christians and Non-Christians that are looking for some explanation of what is going on in America.

Darwin's theory of evolution is accepted by most educated Americans as simple fact. This easy acceptance, however, hides from us the many ways in which evolution - as an idea - shapes our thinking about a great many things. What if this idea is wrong? What if "evolution" is just a word that covers up scientific ignorance of how the wonders of the living world could have been created? Berkeley law professor Phillip Johnson looks at the evidence for Darwinistic evolution the way a lawyer would - with a cold dispassionate eye for logic and proof.

George Orwell depicts a gray, totalitarian world dominated by Big Brother and its vast network of agents, including the Thought Police - a world in which news is manufactured according to the authorities' will and people live tepid lives by rote. Winston Smith, a hero with no heroic qualities, longs only for truth and decency. But living in a social system in which privacy does not exist and where those with unorthodox ideas are brainwashed or put to death, he knows there is no hope for him.

Leading evangelist Billy Graham has written an inspiring and thought-provoking work based on his personal quest to understand the most mysterious and difficult aspect of the Trinity. After a discussion with a noted Swiss theologian, Dr. Graham began a study of the Bible to see what is said about the Holy Spirit. As he progressed through his examination, he became concerned by the “misunderstanding and even ignorance in some Christian circles concerning the Third Person of the Trinity.”

Billy Graham does a masterful job of teaching on a subject that can bring so much controversy in the body of Christ. He does a great job of sharing his point of view with enough information for the listener to go and research for him/her self.
Also a great starting point for new Christians or Christians that are just beginning to learn about the Holy Spirit.
