This was my first endeavor into a fictional audiobook. It took me a minute to get past the way Winwood animates her reading, having only used audiobooks for nonfiction. Once I was acclimated, the story came alive. Having lived in Germany for a year, its history has been of great interest and while there is no proof Braun had a child with Hitler, Robotham weaves a tale that is both gripping and plausible. I couldn’t stop lite omg until the last words of the epilogue!

The information provided is mostly based on old research, subjective research, and myth so old it's accepted as truth. Some of the nutritional information is decent but then there's a lot that just isn't. The narrator has a few quirky ways of pronouncing things and her voice is a little annoying to listen to. I'm sure she's a wonderful person but still difficult to listen to long periods of time.
