He promised to never leave me. But when I needed him the most, that was exactly what he did. Wilderness guide Xander Reed has spent fifteen years trying to forget the night he turned to his best friend in his darkest hour, only to find the young man who'd sworn to always have his back was turning his on Xander instead. Two thousand miles and fifteen years of building a new life in the quiet backcountry of the Rocky Mountains should have been enough to put the memory of Bennett Crawford out of his mind.

I usually have both kindle and audible versions of a book - just like to have both when i like a book. I'm a sloan kennedy fan - that said Michael Pauley doesn't do it for me - I know he is wildly popular with the LGBT crowd - but for some reason he just doesn't cut it with me - I have several others I like - Sean Crisden, Joel Leslie - Several others - so - unfortunately i can't buy in to the rest of the series as narrated by Michael - the story seems pretty good.

I don’t want Jason Vega. Not at all. It’s the worst idea ever. Ah, hell... Jason is handsome. Smart. Dangerous. Hot. He’s goddamn gorgeous - but he’s also sleeping on the street, hanging out with the local biker gang, and selling his body for a living. Our lives, our paths, couldn’t be further apart. I’m crawling toward the light while he’s falling into the dark. But it doesn’t matter how different we are or what logic dictates.

I'm getting really good at cutting my losses. First, the husband. Divorcing him was the best decision I ever made. But between single-parenting and job-hunting, I can't catch my breath. When a celebrity blogging position falls into my lap, I'm determined to succeed. That is, until I get my first assignment and actually see Noah Frazier for the first time...practically naked and dripping wet. My heart races and I forget how to form complete sentences. His chiseled abs, irresistible smirk, and crystal blue eyes are too perfect to be real. So, what do I do? Get drunk and humiliate myself, of course.

Damian Tate. One look into his sad green eyes and I was hooked. I wanted to be the one to make him laugh, to make him smile. I hadn't expected him to be the one to make me blush, to make me hot...to make me fall in love. He was my first kiss, my first love, my first everything. I wanted forever with him, but life got in the way.

I love most of LA Fiore's book but this was a slow starter for me. Damien and Thea are half of each other, period. I still think some of the middle defies explanation for why these two had such a stuttering relationship - despite their deep love and loyalty to one another - the last third of the book made up for it - and was lovely. So, ultimately good, but Collecting the Pieces and Savage are her crowning jewels so far. Keep up the excellence LA!

Nathan Nathan Nathan - a breath of fresh air - a fairly good guy if a bit shallow - Alison - who knew why she was still available - a perceptive, honest sweetheart. You give a guy a who has a terminal diagnosis, a cast of characters called the Foodies and a star performer - and you have a story that is fresh, vivid and extremely engaging. I could not put it down! This narrator Simon Mattacks will be a "go to" for me, especially in a story where Humor is involved! He was the perfect match for Nick's story, and excellent. I give him 7 Stars on this performance! If you want something entirely fresh and thoughtful, think about this book!

I'm NHL defenseman Lance Romero, AKA Lance "Romance". I'm notorious for parties and excess. I have the most penalty minutes in the league. I get into the most fights. I take the most hits. I'm a player on and off the ice. I'm the one women with no inhibitions want. Not because I like the notoriety, but because I don't know how to be any other way. I have secrets. Ones I shared with the wrong person, and she used them against me. Sometimes she still does.

I Just listened to Helena's best book so far - Pucked Off - I had to look twice to see that I was listening to the same author! While I loved Pucked, and Forever Pucked - It's pretty hard to beat the emotion you feel with Helen's Lance and Poppy - Jacob Morgan and Rose Dioro really captured them - the only problem I found with this great book was Jacob seemed rushed through some portions. He has such an emotional voice - I hope they give him room to breathe through other books because he really has a voice - and Lance and Poppy - what a couple. This story has felt the most real of all of these so far. Thanks Helena - keep on with making it real - and thanks for Lance and Poppy. I'm all about HEA, I'm all about redemption - I believe in miracles, can't help it, always have, always will.

Reed: I've spent my whole life causing trouble for my parents, but this time I went too far. After the scandal I caused nearly ruined my mom's political career, they decided to do something drastic - and that's how I ended up in on a ranch in Ely, Wyoming, a zillion miles from civilization. But it's not like I care that I have no friends, my family despises me, and I totally ruined my life in a really public way. And I definitely don't cry myself to sleep every night. The good news? The ranch hand, Brady, is super hot. I mean, I only want to get him in bed to prove I can.

Reed and Brady are sweet together - Reed is a bit dense at times which irritates me - and extremely childish for his age -
but I think I get the dynamic of powerful parents over-riding him. Great writing - not alot of sex, but touching and endearing and yes lyrical writing - Sean Crisden is a hell of a narrator - I wish he was used more often. Michael Pauley is over-used bigtime - so very glad to have Sean narrating - he has such a sexy beautiful voice. Looking forward to more from you Ruthie!

I know it's a worthy subject - but you really never know the
characters or their thoughts. I am returning - and I don't do that
often. This girl has bizarre reasoning. The guy wants to help
her and hires her for 1K a week to be his assistant. She seems
really meek and sweet - but when she takes the job she argues with
him at every turn as if he is asking her to be a escort service etc. Or "I might
have other plans". She goes from meek and hurt to bitch in zero to 10.
I see being a personal assistant to someone famous/celebrity as kind of a
jack of all trades job - including attending parties with them. Scheduling them
kind of running interference and organizing them... she just finished College with
"honors" and says she can't possibly get "organized" - too disjointed - no natural
flow or reason they would be together.

With a famous NHL player for a stepbrother, Violet Hall is well acquainted with the playboy reputation of many a hockey star. So of course she isn't interested in legendary team captain Alex Waters or his pretty, beat-up face and rock-hard six-pack abs. But when Alex inadvertently obliterates Violet's misapprehension regarding the inferior intellect of hockey players, he becomes much more than just a hot body with the face to match.

Great book, good surprise. Nathan Everett is a good narrator for some books, he just isn't Alex Material. I usually get used to a narrator but he just isn't working for me. That is the only detractor from this book. Muffy Newtown has Violet in the bag - Alex and Violet are very enjoyable - she says things to herself and aloud that are witty and spontaneous and funny - maybe i'll get sick of her (I write this half way through this book) but I doubt it. Some books are painfully NOT funny. this is refreshing and sexy. I read ALOT of Romance and expect HEA - that is my fantasy and I'm sticking by it. That said, the scenario can get old with alot of cookie cutter authors. I was just listening to Bound a Hockey/Loss Romance and could not finish it. I have listened to hundreds of romances and some hockey that are very very good - that was not. Pucked was a breath of fresh air!

Thanks Helena - I hope to see Violet and Alex in other books - I saw one review stating Violet was a little over-done in one - but I'm sure you've remedied that - and yet character continuity as friends and throughout series making appearances are a must I think! Thanks again for the laughter and endearing qualities I'm hoping extend through the book for these two! Looking forward to the next!

For seven years Rebecca has brightened my office with her wit and her smile. She manages both my hockey team and my sanity. I don't know when I started waking in the night, craving her. All I know is that one whiff of her perfume ruins my concentration. And her laugh makes me hard.
