One of the comedy world's fastest-rising stars tells his wild coming of age story during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa and the tumultuous days of freedom that followed. Noah provides something deeper than traditional memoirists: powerfully funny observations about how farcical political and social systems play out in our lives.

Utterly amazing. I laughed and at the end I cried so much. Not sure how he could incorporate so much humor and depth in one story. Amazing!

Like any mixtape you buy it and there are 2 songs that rock your world and the others are fillers that wouldn't really make it as mall music. This is similar. There are a couple of nuggets and then a lot of fluff. But one man's fluff is another man's......
Buy it knowing that they've paired heavy hitters with starters which for me too away from, more than it added to, the overall quality.

It felt a little like a tv show you could skip some episodes (chapters) and still get the gist of it because it's repetitive, but not in a bad way. It helps non believers believe that Stars have fears and flaws too (which is good) but if you take someone at their word then hearing 'I was afraid' every couple of pages might seem a little redundant.

What I really wanted to know was how it all started. She must have been saying yes to get to where she already was. How did those ones come about? This was more about a different level of yes, I wished it would help the entry level people know how to begin. This book talked about how she got from point M to point T but how does one get to point A? Though I know it wasn't supposed to be a self help book, it just seemed that the things she said yes to were not major leaps even though she was 'deathly scared' each time. I wish there was a little more about the yes she did say that turned her into 'shonda queen of Thursday nights'

Loved the openness about her views on marriage.

The Money Mirror shows how women's attitudes towards money reflect their feelings about themselves. Through better understanding the ways they relate to money, women can develop positive emotional attitudes and gain control of economic and personal issues. "Lieberman and Lindner document how intelligent women are still very often prey to . . . a vicious cycle of fear and confusion that prevents us from effectively earning, negotiating, investing, and managing our incomes. This lively, anecdotal book explores women's historical relationship to money, the common symptoms,…. and the antidotes." —(Ms. Magazine) . . .[offers] a wealth of down-to-earth tips on how to develop money awareness on the road to leading healthier, happier financial lives." This is one of those books (and there are very few) that I will have to read over and over so that it sinks deep. I love it. I just wish there was more to it. It's a great intro to the topic but left me wanting more, after the diagnosis, now what? What do I do? I recognize everything about myself in what you have written..... What now? Please do a follow up with step by step tips.
