Nine of us came here. We look like you. We talk like you. We live among you. But we are not you. We can do things you dream of doing. We have powers you dream of having. We are stronger and faster than anything you have ever seen. We are the superheroes you worship in movies and comic books—but we are real.

I got so engrossed in the story, I spent most of the day listening. Stopped long enough to eat dinner then restarted my adventure. By the time I finished I was crying. Of course, my husband saw my reaction and laughed.

If you like reading YA sci-fi stories, you'll want to read this one.

I've read through the series three times. Now I'm listening to them. The narrator sure does sound like Miss Sookie. It's like visiting an old friend you haven't seen for a while. Very enjoyable.

Stereotypical characters dulled the plotline. Despite the red herring, I determined who the killer was two hours into the book. That being said, Nora Roberts remains one of my favorite authors.

First Baldacci novel I've read--and it definitely won't be the last one. I was so wrapped up in the story, at one point I had to take a break from listening because it became too intense.

Enjoyed both narrators performances. The sound effects were good.
