Think you have a lot of pressure on your shoulders? Nick Gautier was born to bring about the end of the world.... It's not easy being the heir of a demon overlord. But in Invision, Nick is determined to thwart his destiny and get into a good college. To be more than his genetics and prophecy foretell. No one is ever going to tell this stubborn Cajun who and what he really is. Or how to live his life. Not even the Fates of the Universe.

A fan for a long time I couldn't wait for the next chapter in Nicks story and Ms Kenyon didn't disappoint. A little slower than the others but lots of back story that explained a lot. Now to wait to see what happens next...

"My love, speak to me. Tell me everything.” Neferet went to Kalona, kneeling before him, stroking the soft, dark wings that unfurled loosely around the immortal. “What would you have me say?” He didn’t meet her eyes. “Zoey lives.” Neferet’s voice was flat, cold, lifeless.“She does.”“Then you owe me the subservience of your immortal soul.” She started to walk away from him.“Where are you going? What will happen next?”

I have enjoyed the series from the first chapter of the first book. But the last two books have just left a little to be desired. I have kind of felt that although they have good plots and some, "Ooo! can't stop now" moments, they have kind of circled and not really went anywhere except predictable. Although in the next to last chapter, whew!! did not see that comming. Don't get me wrong I will be first in line to get the next one in November, I just hope that it may start to wrap some things up.
