The Trouble with Liam is a powerful psychological thriller set in Ireland and Sheffield. It tells the story of the life of Liam O’Sullivan in all its twisted glory. It begins with tales of his challenging childhood in Dublin and follows him through the sometimes tragic events which change him into a misogynistic, controlling, ultimately lethal bully living in Sheffield.

This book was more than I expected. Lots of details about Liam’s life and how he became the way he was. All that horrible things he did to women I never thought he would get the same treatment in the end. Such karma couldn’t have been better. But that nurse went further than I expected.

This book was wonderfully narrated and written. The upside to murder is no trial, no conviction, no testimony, to the crimes that were perpetrated against an innocent person. The downside to murder is praying you don't get caught trying to protect your daughter/family from the possibility of said criminal walking away innocent from our "wonderful" justice system. Than another side you find out your daughter is pregnant from the crime that was committed against her and her friend, and YOU are so against abortion that you are demanding she have the child and give it up for adoption. Daughter says never... no more give away's to the book... Just read it you will not be able to put it down. The narrator did so many different voices I was impressed. A couple of times I thought there were more than 1 reader..

When Detective Nick Fourcade enters the home of Genevieve Gauthier outside the sleepy town of Bayou Breaux, Louisiana, the bloody crime scene that awaits him is both the most brutal and the most confusing he's ever seen. Genevieve's seven-year-old son, P.J., has been murdered by an alleged intruder, yet Genevieve is alive and well, a witness inexplicably left behind to tell the tale. There is no evidence of forced entry, not a clue that points to a motive. Meanwhile, Nick's wife, Detective Annie Broussard, sits in the emergency room with the grieving Genevieve. A mother herself, Annie understands the emotional devastation this woman is going through.

This story was fantastic, at times I felt like it was a rewrite of another book, seems as if I had read it under a different title. Raven (a witch) gets in to so much trouble never answers her phone and only when she needs money does she read her email. She gets an inherintance and with it comes the son of the man who he would not visit while alive and many legal problems.
She has many animals who rely on her and she on them. Great book. I received this free for an honest review from the narrator or author.

I love this book and how the ghosts of his child hood home protect him. I do hope there is more to come but not sure that Shane can withstand much more from the dead...

No spoiler alert but I was very surprised by the ending. I don’t want to say to much but to open your mouth and see an eye. Omg I would have freaked out.
