I really enjoyed John Solo’s narration of this story. His characterization of each voice was well done. His voice, whether is be a lost little “boy”, tough Alphas, or nasty vultures was a delight to listen to.

Sam is a big bad Alpha unless he’s dealing with his mate Dean or the damaged little pup they take in. Then he’s a big ole softy.

His new team is charged with helping shifter pups, those unable to defend themselves. Along with his new mate and a group of rough and tumble Alphas, they set out to make the world a better place for the innocent shifters to live in.

Laugh out loud antics and tender moments made this a nice book to to listen to.

I really liked Kenneth Obi’s reading of this book. He really brought both Donnie and Roland alive, well done.

(This review is the same one I did for the book)

Donnie (don't call him Adonis) has a full life, his sister, 3 cats. He looks like a twink. Which causes a few issues, but he sets guys straight right away. He is the top in the relationship. Doesn't matter if he's not tall or big, he calls the shots. Overall a busy full happy life, then he meets Roland.

Roland is an artist, no longer able to paint. He doesn't know if it's the vodka, depression or just because he doesn't deserve it anymore. Childish drunken tantrums seem to be his only outlet. Then he meets Donnie and Pete the cat.

Their path is full of broken canvases and uncertainty. Roland is sure he doesn't deserve the the happiness of Donnie and painting. Donnie wants Roland but not the turmoil he brings to the relationship.

I've never associated a book to a color before. It started with Roland obsessively trying to find the right shade of blue. At the time not realizing why he needed to find it so bad. I could see it as it flowed through the pages. Sometime just a wisp of color, other times wide swathes. And as an added bonus the cover is phenomenal.

Don't let this one pass you by because it deals with depression. It's a beautiful book.

I read this book a couple of months ago. I liked tha audible version. Colin Darcy did a nice job of narrating. There were a few words pronounced strangely though.

David is out with friends, celebrating almost graduating college when he stumbles into a group of men beating another man. When he is unable to complete shifting into his wolf he is captured and kidnapped. His only hope is that his brothers and the rest of Team ALPHA will find him. When they do, he realizes that Boomer is his mate. That’s not going to go over well with his brothers!

I liked this story. Boomer is such an in your face lovable character. Davey’s brothers were a little over the top though. A fated mate is just that, fated, it’s not like Davey and Boomer can ignore it.

The team does what they always do, bicker, antagonize each other, and act all around like family. The only people hurt in this book really deserved it.

Victor is alone in this world since his pack was killed off. The scent of a fertile omega dwelling in town, unclaimed and waiting, is too much temptation. He heads in for a closer look. Caleb is a bottom-of-the-pack omega, innocent and sweet. There's no hope for a mate in his current pack - he's too much the little brother to everyone. Yet a stranger brings new possibilities.

(The narration for this story was ok, but seemed a little off in places, specially for the female characters).

Caleb is a lonely omega who just wants someone to love. Victor is a lonely alpha wanting to form a new pack. When Victor kidnapped Caleb he didn’t know it would turn his life upside down. When they decided that the best thing for them was each other, Victor is tamed and Caleb gets his fondest wish.

Cute story, heavy on the angst. It seemed to drag in places, maybe to much introspection? Overall I enjoyed it. I haven’t read the other books in the series and didn’t feel like I needed to read them to understand this one.

Promise, Michigan, is very much like every other small town across the state. Built on the edge of a lake, the homes sit in neat little rows in cute little neighborhoods. During the summer Promise bustles with tourists who come to spend their vacation dollars and enjoy the lake's refreshingly cold water. But Promise holds a terrible secret. In the center of the lake is an abandoned island where a curse is rumored to wait for victims, unabated, and deadly.

I enjoy this authors books, first one I’ve listened too in audio. The narration brought the story to life. I will definitely look for other books narrated by Marek Montoya.

Bret lost Adam five years ago. Bret never believed the explanation that was given for his death. When Adam was pulled from the lake Bret was devastated. He returns to Promise to reconnect with the family he loved, Adam’s parents and brother. He had no interest in his own family and they didn’t want anything to do with him. When he returns, drownings start to occur. Men drowned in unexplainable lake water.

Jeff is an FBI agent investigating the odd deaths. He is drawn to Bret and to the mystery of the lake and Adam. Together they start to solve the murder of Adam. Both realizing that when they are done Bret might not survive.

This story had everything I look for in one of the this authors books. Well constructed characters, doomed lovers, and a believable ghost/spirit/wraith. Above all I think this is a love story, sad and beautiful. Love lost and then found again.

This story was okay but not a favorite. The audio version actually made it better.

Stitch is a member of a motorcycle club, a steal your drugs, slit your throat, burn you down kind of club. Stitch is not a typical pretty boy biker. No sweetness to be found here. He’s not a likable person. Everything he does is for the good of his club. Except Zak, the man he’s falling in love with. Zak is just for him.

Zak knows that going back into the closet isn’t what he wants, but having Stitch might just be worth it. If Stitch can survive a rival club and his own club members, they just might make it together.

Stitch is not a likable character and I never really warmed up to him. Zak on the other hand was a sweetheart. This is definitely not a sweet book. Dark, bloody, in your face violence.

My muse is gone, and I haven’t written a word of music in more than a year. Every time I close my eyes, all I can see is Dawson. Nine years ago, just before Downward Spiral’s first major tour, I met my soul mate, and then I walked away. Now that I’ve finally tracked him down again, things have changed. I’ll have to make him fall for me all over again. But is it possible I put our single weekend together on a pedestal, or could Dawson really be the one?

(This is the same review I wrote for the book). Welcome to the continuing story of Downward Spiral. Lando, burnt out, no longer able to write songs. Desperate for a break, away from the endless touring. Needing to be away from his bandmates Lincoln who tried accidentally (this time) to kill himself, and Jude who is drugged up all the time.

He decides to go to Florida, where almost a decade ago he spent a weekend with a man he hasn't been able to get out of his mind. Knowing that the man obviously hadn't wanted him after that weekend. He still thought he might find the peace he needs there.

Dawson lost his hearing and parts of his past in an automobile accident. He memory a series of blanks that he can't piece together. He knows he misses writing and music. Obsessive about keeping track of what he does everyday. He won't lose time again.

When Lando accidentally finds Dawson he is devastated that Dawson doesn't remember him. When he learns what happened he decides that even though he lost him once it won't happen again.

I liked that even though Lando seemed like the strong one (in the first book) he was just as fragile as Lincoln. I enjoy this authors ability to take a wounded character and make them so much stronger by giving them someone to take care of and love. Definitely read the books in order.

JACK - My life ended when I was 16. Not literally - I’m no ghost, I just feel like one. It's a byproduct of losing your pack to a plague that skips you by like you’re not worth the effort. Chose all the good ones and you’re what was left behind. Survivor’s guilt, people call it. I just call it like I see it. I do a decent job of going through the motions. I’ve got a good reputation as an alpha, and everyone loves to joke about the only vegan alpha in North America. Some days even I’m convinced that this is it. As good as it gets. When Jack’s secret is revealed and Dylan pushes him away he doesn’t think he will ever get him back. Jack has to make a life changing decision that puts his and Dylan’s relationship in the background.

I liked how Dylan, even though he is an Omega, was very strong and took care of himself and his daughter. Jack was what I see as a the typical Alpha. Tough, sure of himself, and arrogant. I liked how Dylan shaved off Jack’s rough edges and how Jack brought Dylan back to life.

I liked the story, lots of angst, almost insta-love, and an Alpha and Omega that were delightful.

Lucky is a force of nature. Mason appears to be a straight arrow but he is a bit of a loose cannon also. They are good together and so good with each other. I enjoyed their story.
