Carnage is a Gargoyle. He's also volatile, dangerous, unpredictable, and lonely. One evening minding his own business at the edge of the sanctuary he calls home, he spies a female. A human female, and she's running headlong into his swamps, with no regard for her own safety. Then he sees the reason; three men, and they're hot on her trail, torches in hand, hell bent on catching her before she can get away.

This future world rules by women is a great book. I thought I would be so much "if I ruled the world" and stereotyping about women that I wouldn't like it. Now I am hooked. Really want to hear "runaway's story" and "the best friend" now. There is also a loss of history due to the war. They are advanced but have little knowledge of the past. Makes you wonder who withheld those things because word of mouth could have helped even with the losses. Is the council hiding some things? ...The north men? It will all come out if so but the romance was sweet and developed nicely. Not too raunchy if you like that. A lot of cursing is a out as good as you will get in this one. Overall the characters are strong stubborn and sometimes funny.

Because it’s the only way to survive. But then Razo sells me...to a dangerous biker with zero morals and a sick upbringing. A psycho who makes me feel like I have a flock of ravens inside my stomach. I would have loved to read more about Elise and Conner growing up. Lulu as well. This as usual was a good adventure I just wish everything else had been separate and leading up to the spin off. I am hesitant to start the spin off because it starts while they are adults and does not explain their youthful relationship or their relationships with pack and vampire house.

I have been enjoying this series and am just now rating it. I like the way it tells the story of the characters histories. The development is smooth and the romance between Ethan and the Sentinel is beautiful. Catcher is a great character also even if he is a grump and I think I love Jeff too. The women are strong characters but not without their own personalities and faults. Give this series a chance for a good fantasy series. Not explicit but very romantic.
