Secrets told in the church ladies' room are supposed to stay in the ladies' room. But that doesn't mean that what Trudy overhears there during her great-aunt Gertrude's funeral won't change the rest of her life. Trudy has a daughter in the middle of a major rebellion; a two-timing husband who has been cheating for their entire married life; and a mother with Alzheimer's residing in the local nursing home.

I loved this story, it sort of woke up something in me. I loved how Trudy decided she would no longer allow people to walk all over her. she stood up for herself and found love again. She embodied strength and courage. This is the third book I've read by Carolyn Brown and i have not been disappointed. The best one so far was Small Town Secrets.

I could not put this book down. I was drawn in from the first page. There are so many twists and turns. It just reminds me of the adage: be careful what you go looking for, you just might find it and more.

this book was long for no reason. The story could have been told in a shorter version. I enjoyed the story bit it honestly didn't get good until half way through. its okay for a weekend home alone.
