The story is excellent and keeps you interested. Mind you this isn't an action packed book and despite that it manages to be pretty terrifying. The pace isn't too quick nor too slow.

There are absolutely tons of historical tidbits in this book and the author manages to bring them all together culminating in a very interesting and fascinating book. Its completely believable and at the same time amazingly elaborate. I love when authors don't hand feed you the storyline, and the author in this book treats the reader as intelligent.

Lastly the narrators are simply perfect for the tone of this book. The female has sort of a mild sadness to her reading which makes the story come alive. There isn't any monotone reading. As for the male reader he is excellent at accents and really brings his characters to life

I loved this book and normally don't write reviews but I feel I've found one of the best books on audible and had to review

This is one of the best books Ive ever read. It has very well developed characters and the storyline never faulters. Every chapter was thrilling and without a doubt some were frightening. Once again these authors managed to piece togther a masterpiece with an amazing ending that strings together the plot so well that I couldnt believe it. Every loose end it tied up so well. If you want to really enjoy the horror side of this book listen to it while going to sleep! You will definately have some fantastic nightmares, I did!!

First off let me say I love child preston books. All amazing in their own right. As this book has similar qualities to the child preston books I tried it. Although I did enjoy it it didnt leave me thinking about it days later as the child preston books do.

Also have to say I didnt enjoy the narrarator much. Another reason I love the child preston books (scott brick is a god)

I listen to alot of books here on audible. Each time I start looking for a new book to listen to I try to find a book that I think will make me feel like I did while listening to this one. No other book has yet, Ive listened to more than 20 other books but I keep thinking about this one. Its just so great. It really has everything. I REALLY hope that the sequel turns out to be as awe inspiring as this one
