These letters are often all that get me through week to week. Even if it’s just random stuff, nothing important, they’re important to me. Gramps is great, and I love working on the ranch. But…I’m lonely. I feel disconnected, like I’m no one, like I don’t belong anywhere. Like I’m just here until something else happens. I don’t even know what I want with my future. But your letters, they make me feel connected to something, to someone.

Ok so I grew up in the Detroit area so when they mention cities I know what they are talking about. most books leave details like that out. But when she mentioned my husband's & I favorite resturant Eddie Merlot 😲. We were the first to get married at that location & have been to every location. the book however was not keeping my interest till then. Now I will try to finish it. I did buy all 3.

But her father, a former surfer himself, refuses to allow her to take lessons. After a near drowning in his past, he can't bear to let Lena take up the risky sport. i listened to this book samples but forgot about it. I really wanted to listen to it but was a little shocked at how depressing it sounds. yes I finished the book & understand more in the end. but this just really depressed me. I lil morbid & dark. it kept me wondering what was going to happen next so I guess it is a good listen. don't be sad or depressed when listening, or in a dark mood.
