He's not the guy you date. He's the one night stand. You'd think the man who sends hot looks my way, who called me succulent, would want to strip me to my skin and spread me out on his bed like every other woman in Chicago. Except, he passed on my offer.... Just like I once passed on his. He's wary, like I am. He's broken, like I am. And everyone knows two broken parts can't ever make a whole.

the story was good enough you finally get to know why the hero even though he does not act like one is the way he is. But it took up till 6 hours of listening before you really understood and the characters messed well it was very frustrating read but good but just a little bit too much on the frustrating side

The first time I laid eyes on Lydia Decker, I couldn’t speak. Or breathe. Or string two coherent thoughts together. And I don’t mean any of that figuratively. No, when I first laid eyes on Lydia Decker - my physical therapist - I was lying flat on my back in the ICU, high as a kite on painkillers, breathing on a ventilator, my bones as broken and splintered as my spirit. She said she’d been assigned to fix me. But what I didn’t know...what I couldn’t possibly know...was that Lydia Decker needed fixing far more than I ever did.

The moment everything changed didn't happen in that cliche rockets-red-glare kind of way, it happened in the form of a waking nightmare. I caught my husband, my high-school sweetheart, the father of my children, balls deep in a sordid affair. That was when I gave up on men and love. I didn't count on the NHL's golden boy, the beautiful, arrogant Cooper Stone, turning my life and my hockey rink upside down. We're from different worlds and places in our lives, but when our hearts collided, something so wrong and different turned into something so right.

First of all the hero was a real man whore. Not only that but he got upset that he was called that. It was hard for me to listen to him being such a jerk with other women in front of the heroin. Then the heroin kept going back and forth to the point of extremes with deciding if she wanted to stay or leave him. The story could have been shorter. Having said that I loved the author's writing style and the way she writes if this book was not so frustrating I would have given it a 5... would definitely read her stories again!!

I'm used to being in charge. In and out of the office. So, when my parents go behind my back and hire a co-CEO to help me manage my family's business, let's just say I don't take it too well. Especially not when the woman they've hired is the one girl who hated my guts in college. She thinks I'm an overprivileged, womanizing man-whore. I think she's an uptight, stuck-up bitch. And now she's here, in my office, telling me how to run my company. I don't think so.

If there was such a thing as an urban legend in Cotton Creek, it was Grady Judd. He'd broken the heart of every woman he'd ever kissed, and he'd kissed a plenty. Many tried to rope him, tie him down, and drag him to the altar, but Grady wasn't the marrying kind. Until he showed back up in Cotton Creek this time to discover that he's not the only heart breaker in town, which leads to a whole new game and an entirely new question. Could Grady Judd finally have met his match?

I really really really tried to like this book. And I stuck it out to the end. Think of it as a cowboy AKA psychic. I don't know why this book got such good ratings. It was kind of cheesy and unbelievable. I'm all about fantasy but not this type of Elementary storyline. Here's a spoiler. The heroin is suffering from A Loss so the hero drowns her with her permission of course and Promises to bring her back which he does who does that? the narrator had a good tone to his voice but it was like an old man reading the sex scenes that I could not get over.

Charm is the key to the world. Charisma, magnetism, sex appeal - that "it" factor that can't be described. Nolan Delaney has it is spades. The infamous Mr. Romantic. And maybe he is out of my league, but I'm going to give it the old college try anyway. Because I didn't travel 2,000 miles for a job interview at his request just to be put out like trash. Don't underestimate me, Mr. Delaney. I'm really not as innocent as I look.

it's interesting that the author writes at the end of the book that if you think this book is about rape fantasies then you missed the point. Well I must have missed it because it went into such detail that I had to fast forward through some of it. I don't get books that are instant attraction books. When the hero is a jerk and then he comes looking for the heroine and all of a sudden she just loves him and there's no written connection I get extremely annoyed. I'm all about the fantasy but it needs to be somewhat reasonable. I know this book had great reviews but I couldn't get into the whole rape fantasy thing especially her being so naive and its like all of a sudden she's into hardcore sex the very first time.
