The team of heroes extracted from their timelines to stop the impending apocalypse didn't think they needed a leader. But they've got one anyway. With their mission in tatters, Miri has been called in to steady the ship. And to focus them on their assignment: preventing the end of the world. The problem is, the world doesn't know it's in danger. With governments pursuing them relentlessly, attempting to steal the time-travel device to use for their own ends, the heroes are on the run.

Right from the start- by the style of writing, and the character's voices- I knew I did a very, very good thing when I purchased the 1st book-
Extracted. But not until the 1st book ended, and I began the second book-
Executed- did I realize that this story was even MORE entertaining - not because it was the 2nd book, but because it's the same story continued .... their characters become even COOLER than imagined !
The writer produced a story with quick wit, it's funny, intense, and the characters are very endearing.
The narrator also did an absolutely incredible job with making me believe these characters were different, separate people- also has great comic timing. When 2 of them started to banter at each other in their fast-cadence British accent, i actually laughed out loud , driving alone in the car.
You would really be missing out in an incredible book(s) if you pass on these .
Worth every cent.
Woulda paid way more for these !

For years, his wife, Gail, has served as a shield between Jeremy and the burden of this terrible knowledge. But Gail is dying, her mind ebbing slowly away, leaving him vulnerable to the chaotic flood of thought that threatens to sweep away his sanity. Now Jeremy is on the run - from his mind, from his past, from himself - hoping to find peace in isolation.
