The life of an unscrupulous bastard can sometimes be fraught with difficulties. First, there was the sweet young thing who claimed he'd impregnated her. (Know what a condom is, Brett?) Then there was the desperate young man who wanted to take him to court. (One of the risks you run when you insist upon being so unscrupulous.) How about the guy who showed up at his apartment and threatened him at gunpoint? (Punching him out at that party might not have been such a good idea.)

From the moment Niall Gibbs lays eyes on Lady Olivia Goodall, he is entranced. Even as a young boy her fragile beauty calls to something deep inside him, making it difficult to stay away from her. And stay away he should, since she happens to be the daughter of his master: an earl who would not take kindly to the attentions of a stable groom. Yet, as they grow to adulthood, Olivia and Niall’s visceral connection becomes undeniable. The two skirt danger and shun propriety for any stolen moments they can find, even knowing their love can ever be.

She’s the best baker in Bellmare, Massachusetts, and just wants to continue to lead a quiet life in the quaint and haunted tourist destination. Not even an elaborate, last-minute wedding cake commission - a multi-tiered fondant replica of Dracula’s castle - could be a stake in her side. But when the bride turns up dead hours before the wedding, Priscilla and her pastries are the first to be suspected. Priscilla will have to get to the bottom of this murder, or her business and reputation will be six feet under.
