It was just one year ago that she and her team of marine biologists had stunned the world with their incredible breakthrough. And now, they were about to do it again. But an ocean away, something strange was unfolding. Along a lonely coast in South America, an experimental Russian submarine, long thought to have been dismantled, has suddenly resurfaced. And the US Navy had taken notice, sending officers John Clay and Steve Caesare to investigate.

This book is out of my usual genre, but I loved it. The characters are well developed and inspiring.
I liked the imagination of the author and all the intrigue. Feels like multiple stories are happening at once, yet all come together magnificently by the end. Each book has a solid ending (no cliffhangers), yet left me downloading the next before I was done with the one I was on.
Narrator is excellent.
NOTE: Must be read or listened to in order.

In 1984 a doomsday vault was constructed on a remote island in the Arctic Ocean. Its purpose was to preserve Earth's genetic history in the event of a global catastrophe. Now, decades later, a second vault has been uncovered. This one resting where no one ever expected. And the problem is, it's not ours. Yet even more curious than the vault itself is what lies inside. Seeds. Millions of seeds. Each with a genetic embryo untouched and perfectly preserved. Waiting. No one knows who built it. Or when.

Great series. Enjoyed the character development and constant plot twists. The characters were very likable. Must be read in order. Each story ends with a cliffhanger. As each book was released, I went back and listened to each book again, therefore reading through audible the first book at least 4 times. Highly recommend if you like military intrigue.

Heidi considers herself a strong, independent, professional - definitely not the type to fall for a macho, dominant, alpha male like her neighbor in 6F. Yet when she overhears his kinky, sensual escapades one evening, she finds herself as intrigued as she is horrified. Surely that's not spanking she's hearing? And are those whimpers from the woman in his bed caused by pleasure or pain? She tells herself she is not attracted to...whatever they are doing.

Good story. Dom and Heidi are enjoyable strong characters.
Poor production - narrator voice sometimes strong and close to mic, suddenly wavers out likes mic was pulled away. All happens within the same sentence. Very annoying. Also, a phrase is frequently repeated twice.
Narrator has a good voice and inflection but production issues override.
