This book was my least favorite book of the series. it had none of the humor that the previous books had so one star off for that. sitting in an argument that goes in circles is not entertaining nor is reading an explanation for a plan over and over again.

Enjoyed the 1 and 3 books the most. Follows the author's format of a 27 YO Heroine with a heavy handed male love intrest, surprisingly he is also in law enforcement, who seen that coming. What is really disappointing that I think I only laughed twice, which is abnormal for this author

I am done with the series. Jill's sister is just too evil for me to enjoy this book series. jill is always helping her and she is doing everything but sticking needles into her. Not light hearted enough to continue on.

The VAs are not bad, let's say 4 Stars. It's the mixing, the volume level between the two VAs are not level, ie you'll need to adjust the volume on some passages. On a positive note it has improved the last 2 book were worse in this regard.

I do not know the gun laws in the state of Michigan. But I highly doubt that it is against the law to have an adult teach and supervise kids learning on privet property how to shoot a weapon. Landon has been getting on my nerves more and more lately. His attitude and demeanor has gotten abusive in the later books. Landon may not physically abuse Bay but IMHO he verbally is. Every time Bay starts to stand up to Landon he just smiles at her and she crumbles. Also I am so tired of the bacon jokes that i have stopped eating bacon. All the sexual innuendoes that Landon drops suggests that he failed federal sexual harassment training. In the last 7+ books he has gone from one of the better characters to one of the least favorite. Landon needs to have his little red wagon fixed.

I liked the story... but it's more of a painting than a story, it's is built upon layers. The MC's excess internal discourse is less of a internal monologue than a ride with Willy Wonka it kept pulling me out of the story. The other problem was with the mixing levels with the audio book, The MC Rae was loud and Constantine was still too quiet, I could not find a happy listening level, later in the book it did improve. I did like it and would get the 2nd book if there is one.

The prologue is missing which is the plot line for 1/2 the story. Shallow character development when compared to previous books in this line.
