The story was good. I loved the characters and really enjoyed the humor. However, the narrator made it a frustrating listen. I thought she had a cold while doing the first book.....but no, it continued right through to book 5. Sounds like her nose was being pinched closed. Why the "powers that be" allowed this is beyond me. She also messed up with some of the accents. One moment the character had an accent and next thing you know it was gone. I liked her voice though. Nice tone and her reading style was good. Fix those issues and I would listen to books narrated by her.

Cold, fine drops of rain fall softly on Evie's cheeks as she emerges from the darkness of the ship's interior to the gray, overcast sky of the main deck. Pulling her dark peacoat tighter to her body, the wind lifts red tendrils of her hair. She walks slowly to the railing overlooking the water. She catches her first sight of the Irish coastline; its craggy landscape makes her shiver in dread. She finds it difficult to imagine now how the Gancanagh had made this their home for so long without anyone realizing it.

I really liked all the characters. Amy even had me caring for the bad guys!

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Those who are interested in lots of play by play sex scenes.....over and over and....well you get the idea. I actually liked the story, what there was of it.....just had way too much sex. It got so boring. I expect more from Tillie Cole.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Kresley Cole.......HaHa, not even trying to be funny

What does Guy Locke and Amelie Griffin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

They were both excellent and the only reason I finished the book.

What character would you cut from Ravage?

Nobody.

Any additional comments?

Please Tillie, go back to story telling,,,,,,you can do it so well.

No real story. Too much simple and boring inner dialogue as well as immature dialogue. The ending was so abrupt.

What does Rosalyn Landor bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Rosalyn Landor was the reason I purchased this book, but even her excellence could not make me even like this book.

Most debutantes dream of finding husbands. Lady Pandora Ravenel has different plans. The ambitious young beauty would much rather stay at home and plot out her new board game business than take part in the London Season. But one night at a glittering society ball, she's ensnared in a scandal with a wickedly handsome stranger.

What disappointed you about Devil in Spring?

The characters were so childish....well that's how they came across to me with this narrator. Pandora sounded like a goofy kid so any passion was missing for me. Not only have I read all of Lisa's books but her Wallflowers and Hathaway series are my favourite. My very favourite, by far, is Devil in Winter. I have listened to it over 100 times. It's my go to book when i want to fall in love all over again. Rosalyn Landor makes it so easy to loose yourself in their world. I was so excited to hear LK was writing about Sebastion and Evangeline and their children. Could Rosalyn have saved this book for me? I will never know, but in my opinion this narrator ruined any chance I could have added this to my collection. I love Lisa, but I am so upset that I am returning this.

What was most disappointing about Lisa Kleypas’s story?

Pandora sounded goofy and childish and not like anyone who should be considering marriage.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

This narrator should be reading children's books. She has a pleasant enough voice, but lacks any depth or passion to be reading romance. No way that I could get last in the story. I was always aware of the "performance". Pandora voice was frantic and childish and Gabriel's voice was flat and listless. No passion. Please bring Rosalyn Landor back.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

I am very angry with the choice of narrator. Rosalyn gave voice and life to Sebastian and Evie in Devil in Winter........why not have continuity?

Any additional comments?

I see most reviewers loved this book/narrator. For me there was no magic, no passion and the narration was soulless.
