I don’t know if it’s because we were on a road trip and it took more time to get into the book, or if it’s just that I didn’t like the book. My husband thought it was barely OK. And this is my second time with this author that I wasn’t thrilled with his book. 🤷‍♀️

It took me a few chapters to get interested in this book. Because the main character is intentionally a hick. But I’m glad I gave it a chance. It is a good story and has a great ending.
